there was very little suicide amongst young people a few generations ago when the world was way way way more harsh.
now, when everyone has their own personal psychologist, teen suicide rates and mental health issues are thru the roof.

I agree. Research shows that people who grow up being called dirty Boongs and Spear-chuckers and Tree Apes go on to become the highest income earners and generate the most wealth in society. Many go on to develop marvellous inventions and scientific discoveries, helping others and saving countless lives in the process.
The evidence shows that if you want your children to succeed, one of the best things you can do is to encourage people to say BAN THEM, KILL THEM, SEND THEM BACK and WE DON'T WANT THEM HERE.

Good God, no. Donny's daddy set him up with a successful New Jersey real estate portfolio. All Donny had to do was collect the rent.
But no, Donny was brash, so daddy gave him 4 mil to knock down a Manhattan department store in the early 70s and build a hotel, and so he did.
But alas, Donny got itchy feet and moved into casinos. He did okay too, until the '87 crash hit him, so Donny's daddy tried to bail him out with another few mil by buying his casino chips - 2 mil worth to keep Donny afloat for a fortnight. In total violation of the New Jersey gaming laws, but it's all good.
Donny had greased the New Jersey Gaming Commission, but do you know? He couldn't keep up with the interest. So, like all jolly carpetbaggers, daddy or no daddy, Donny was forced to throw in the towel - 4 bil in corporate bankruptcies, the largest ever seen in Atlantic City to date.
No matter how much his dad tried to save him, it was the junk stock holders who lost their shirts. Three great casinos went under. Daddy couldn't save his son, but Donny kept the Trump brand.

Because of that, Donny hasn't declared a cent in income for almost two decades, despite making the Forbes Rich List for much of it. Donny's daddy's wealth prevailed. If Donny hadn't done a thing, he'd be worth just what Daddy had bequeathed him, with interest, in the 1970s.
