So, cods,  if Daniel Andrews is gone by Christmas will it make any difference to what's happened so far?

Will you (and everyone else calling for his 'head on a chopping block') feel much better? Will Victorians getting 'revenge' on their Premier suddenly make things all OK?

It won't change anything. He's admitted to making mistakes and I'm sure he's now trying his best to rectify them.

His job would also be a whole lot easier if he didn't have a State which is apparently full of selfish a-holes who won't follow the rules regarding quarantine and curfews, etc., just like the rest of Australia which has been extremely lucky so far but I suspect our luck is running out.

sure sure its  a lefty thing lets blame everyone else...

the debacle started with SECURITY who were paid to make sure incoming overseas persons remained in lockdown for 14 days.....

not only did this NOT HAPPEN>.. [MISTAKE REALLY}

it was a lust in the dust exercise......and thats from WHAT WE HAVE BEEN TOLD>... I can only imagine what they got away with in full.... Angry Angry

he needs to be in a court room to face what he has done to this COUNTRY...you want to sweep it under the rug....give him a pat on the back for at least trying... give him his pension and probably a bottle of whisky

well I for sure dont...

.if this was Liberal Premier I can guarantee  you wouldnt be saying the same things...

I probably would actually. I'm not a big fan of most politicians these days except perhaps our own WA Premier Mark McGowan who has been doing a great job of keeping WA safe from the virus and ratbags like Clive Palmer so far.

But, I really believe that in times like this party politics should be put aside and every politician should work together as a 'team' to solve the problems.

Huge stretch to blame Dan for the failure of a security team.

The corrupt team members should be prosecuted and put away for a long time as should those under quarantine who snuck out.

These people are responsible for multiple cases of manslaughter, possibly even termed as mass manslaughter. and deserve to be in prison for a long long time.

This is where the responsibility for this belongs.

oh here we go  good old dna  finding every excuse under the sun  why the LABOR PREMIER should not be held accountable....

who chose this ill begotten mob in the first place.....no not the premier one of his front benchers.... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes...

of course those responsible should be charged  or at least fined to hell and back I agree...but in the end the buck stop with the govt of the day..

had he used the police or army it wouldnt have happened....have you thought of that?? both were at his disposal

this is affecting every Australian in this country  not just Victoria....   between 4 and 500 new cases a day..

and the death list is creeping up..... so who are you relying on to see Victoria through this chaos????>>.
and the rest of us for that matter..

not Dan I hope.

You have the wrong mug on that photo .... it should be Gladys Berejiklian.

Dutton may have said the cruise ships can come in but it wasn't he that allowed all the disembarkees off the Ruby Princess & out into the community & the rest of Australia without testing .......

that was Gladys & her Health officials.

Don't worry, cods. The way things are going Victoria might be having some "company" before too much longer, including WA with its so called "hard border".

August 8, 2020, 6:14pm

WA ‘ready to blow up’ with virus cases

https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/australia/coronavirus-australia-state-...

Quote:
An Australian doctor has warned Western Australia is ready to “blow up” with COVID-19 cases, with health workers concerned overseas and interstate travellers could drive up the numbers.

Western Australia only has six active cases in the state, but president of the Australian Medical Association WA, Dr Andrew Miller, told the ABC that many health professionals feel like they are “sitting on a time bomb”.

“I think I can best summarise the mood of doctors in Western Australia at the moment as we are sitting on a time bomb,” Dr Miller told the outlet.

“This state is ready to blow up with COVID.”

Might have to go out and buy some face masks later on before the inevitable panic buying starts.

July 28, 2020, 6.08am

Should WA prepare for a second wave – and are face masks on our horizon?

https://www.watoday.com.au/national/western-australia/should-wa-prepare-for-a-se...

Quote:
There are no certainties when it comes to the pandemic, but the Premier couldn’t have been clearer on the possibility of a second wave of COVID-19 in Western Australia when talking to reporters last week: "Chances are, the virus will come back."

Of course, there's no reason for the virus to "come back" here to WA except for the never ending stream of interstate and overseas arrivals - despite Australia's so called "border closures" and WA's so called "hard border".

I bet a lot of people in New Zealand are rolling their eyes right now and wondering "How did Australia manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of (COVID-19) victory?".
