Last day of voting
Jun 28th, 2020 at 11:11am

is today—voting ends early tomorrow morning.

I have run a positive campaign outlining my experience and knowledge. We do enjoy our companion animals—but they are animals, operating on instinct far more than we do! A big dog can do a lot of damage to someone but so can small dogs and cats especially to kids!

So exercise your dogs, socialise them by walking, keep them off the furniture—that is them exerting dominance!

If you have been  convinced to vote for my opponent—I just ask you to read some of my posts here and maybe reconsider. Voting should be on the merits of the contenders.

I used to enjoy watching the "Dog Whisperer" Cesar Millan ...

He really was on the ball about dog behaviour. Humans need to be the "pack leader" around dogs.

So called "obedience schools" are not really doing a good job. Dog psychology is the key.  Cool

Voting is 29 votes each ATM plus a vote each for “Setanta” and “Herbert.”

Don’t want the misery of run off voting etc? Switch your vote to me! I won’t run off after a month or so. I clearly have experience and knowledge—not just book knowledge either!

Votes are rigged monk. They won't let you win. How can there be 60 votes when we haven't got 60 active members right now. It's bullshit.

Elections do seem to drag long absent members back in, don’t they?

I think there are more voting here than in the election for Mod of Environment? Amazing, isn’t it? LOL!

The “Herbert” and “Setanta” candidacies are a bit suss LOL! So is Aussie’s latest banning, clearly meant to stop him campaigning for me  Smiley

I am having fun. I am, I hope, imparting a bit of knowledge. The sewer has put on a major campaign “Anyone but Monk” but I think, nevertheless, that I will be the victor tomorrow and OzPol the real winner. If I have the most real votes, which I believe I do then I will be the Mod here.

So not entirely a clean campaign against my candidature but if I win I win.

Why do I want the Modship? Why do I persist?

I love sharing knowledge! That is it in a nutshell. Companion animals are great: can provide some security, can help relieve stress (stroke a cat for a while, blood pressure and pulse rate etc have relaxed into healthy states, a mutt can provide plenty of laughs and so on.

Our pets have needs—and teeth and claws! Know how they tick, bit of training, walking in the case of dogs, a bit sensible about dogs and young children and no problems. How to be sensible, how to walk a dog so it is a pleasure not a pain (seen plenty of people trying to walk their dog, no control, unsuitable lead etc etc, a pain not pleasure.)

If you can possibly change your vote to a vote for me I will be humbled and pleased—and try to run this board as it should be run. That is all I want.

Monk, I hope you take this with all the sincerity I intend.

Firstly, I'm actually surprised at how knowledgeable you are in this area and I've been enjoying some of your contributions, but alas, being knowledgeable on a topic isn't intrinsic to being a good mod.

Look at Gregs board, he seems reasonably knowledgeable on film and media, yet  he fills his board up with post about Trump and child rape, then uses the clause, I saw it on TV to justify it. I'm not saying you'd do that, but you can see my point.

It's been said by others you have a volatile personality and are prone to outbursts which isn't such a good attribute for a mod to have.

Hope you take this on board and when you lose the vote, you continue with the interesting contributions you've been making this last week.

You can always hope, Gordon.

Acting rather than hoping gets better results. You have dropped slimy allegations about bestiality: I just told you they reflect more on you than me, did not erupt.

Want to learn more—vote for me.

I will repeat these undertakings I made at the start:

1. I will not delete any posts

2. I will not ban anyone

I have given a few “tasters” of the knowledge I have gained, in part in getting my terrier cross grained crossbreed bitch to 1 trial short of Novice. Myself and an instructor had done some Open training with Demi—she would have had little trouble gaining that title! I know!

You want to know? Vote for me, only way.

I will just add, in case a certain thread here is deleted by a GMod on orders from Body Odor:

1. If Jasin wins he will, basically, delete my posts.

2. So if Jasin wins I will not make any posts here. Sorry!

If I win:

I will delete no posts

I will ban no member.
Naffy was not a valid member when I pledged this. That malicious, serial doxxer posted in the Australian Terrier thread and so she has a permAnent ban from here.

I will share more information, answer questions etc related to our companion animals.

Simple choice—to make by tomorrow morning early.

thankfully someone else is saying what I have been telling him for years...well said gordy....

he has trouble dealing with his own faults   can remember everyone elses   and glories in talking about them.....but when it comes to his own  he usually shifts the blame...

example

You have dropped slimy allegations about bestiality:

in other words if he dishes it out on you in the future  thats why...

I too believe he has a lot to offer...but a few will bait him and sadly I have no doubt he will take the bait eventually.....

what annoys me intensely  is his constant swipes at black orchid....he hasnt been a member of PA for years and years....long before I joined..yet he still harps and harps on her and BLAMES her as much as if it was just yesterday..

like all of us she has a right to her opinion...

what a waste if we all thought alike... Angry Angry

to constantly belittle and insult someone is not the way to win votes...

but forget it your not listening anyway.

Gordon has made accusations or taunts of bestiality. That is a matter of fact, cods. “When you said ‘eat’ what did you mean?” or something close to that for one. I think Gordon demeans himself not me with that behavior,.

Better find something else.

Do you think those that haven't posted in over 6 or 8 months should be removed from the vote?

Bit late to worry about that now, eh?

The elections so far have been disasters for the most part. I did advocate that:

1. Each candidate puts up a platform.

2. Voting is done by Members posting “I vote for XYZ”

But nah, couldn’t listen to me, eh?

I have also suggested that a board like music, on over 8000 posts, deserves a much better position than outright bottom of the list of MRBs.

Sport is another excellent MRB. I don’t think I have contributed any posts there, sport not being my thing, but I see a constant stream of posts there!

What is PhilPerth doing right?
