Indeed.

But, its already here, just not in the numbers we've seen in Victoria so far. We hope.

As I said in another post a few days back, judging by the letters in The West Australian over the past few days the natives are getting restless regarding all of these "returned travellers".

Here's another one from today's paper. And, yes, I would also like to see an answer from Scott Morrison. But, I won't be holding my breath.

Yes - don't laugh at Victoria as you're all looking in the mirror.
It's in your States too.

(For those outside of WA, The West Australian is a "news" paper you wouldn't bother wiping your arse with.  It has gossip columnists - not journalists.)

Those are two factually correct statements though.

He's a self-confessed sex offender, they let you do it remember, and an alleged child rapist alongside Epstein.

If he's guilty of the latter, well that remains to be seen, hence the "alleged".

But then I'm an alleged Tim Tam thief according to my wife, but I know it was either her or the kids so he could be innocent.

Unlike those on the right, I do at least believe in the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

Victoria is feeling the affects of karma for all their sins. I could care less. That'll teach them for us conscripts having to bunk down in dilapidated wooden dongas at Broadmeadows camp. Jews in Dachau had better conditions

Daggy old WW2 wooden buildings that any decent Council would have condemned decades before. No glass in the windows, swarms of hungry mosquitoes flew in and got under our sheets. I lit those green mosquitoes coils, as many as there was in the box, and we breathed the smoke for hours trying to get some sleep

An idiot taxi driver pulled out and damaged the side of my car, never gave any indication he would stop and give his details, Greek he looked to me - bloody wogs

Couldn't wait to be posted back to NSW. I visited Portsea though, site seeing, before Harold Hold went missing. When I heard the news some time later, I thought "sucko, you wanna treat conscripts like that, you paid for it"

Grin

Yep, the writer was probably thinking that might be the only way his letter would get published.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he was rolling his eyes and/or laughing uncontrollably as he typed it.

These same "fine journalists" were trying to cause mass panic a few months ago with huge frontpage headlines like:

YOU WILL GET VIRUS

Pillars of virtue they are. Not.

Glad I'm not the only one who gets annoyed when people (mostly Americans) say that.

Victoria Police enforce Melbourne coronavirus restriction lockdown

Victoria’s top cop has slammed 16 “absolutely ridiculous” partygoers who were fined for breaching coronavirus restrictions.

https://www.news.com.au/national/victoria/news/victoria-police-enforce-melbourne...

A Melbourne couple have tried to breach a police checkpoint, four sex workers have been fined and 16 people were caught at a birthday party as police clamp down on coronavirus enforcement.

Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Shane Patton revealed officers had issued more than 60 infringements in the first 24 hours since stage three restrictions were reintroduced in Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire.

The 16 partygoers were fined after paramedics, who were getting something to eat at KFC, spotted two people picking up about 20 meals at 1.30am on Friday.

They got the car’s registration number and police went to the Dandenong town house where they found 16 people at a birthday party hiding in the backyard, garage and under beds.

“That is ridiculous that type of behaviour,” Mr Patton said.

“It is an expensive night when you think we have issued 16 infringements … that is $26,000 that birthday party is costing them. That is a heck of a birthday party to recall, they will remember that one for a long time.”

Mr Patton said four sex workers were also fined $1652 each after Crime Stoppers received a report of a large amount of men visiting an apartment in Glen Waverley.

Police have so far intercepted more than 5500 vehicles at seven strategic checkpoints on the urban boundary, with 12 people without a valid reason to be out issued fines.

Mr Patton said some of the behaviour was “totally unacceptable”

Coronavirus cases to double every five days in Victoria.

Sky News Australia

Victoria could record as many as 500 new coronavirus cases a day by the end of next week unless the virus outbreak is brought under control.

Confronting projections also suggested infections could go on to double every five days.

Victoria recorded its darkest day of the pandemic on Friday, when Premier Daniel Andrews confirmed
288 new COVID-19 cases were identified over 24 hours.

As hospital admissions surge, residents in Melbourne have been advised to wear masks to stop the spread.
