Victorian coronavirus cases rise by 238

and a woman dies, police urge people to stop breaching restrictions

But what if you don't have all the Pokemon GO characters yet?

Are there exemptions that allow people outside to track them down?

Are we doomed?

You know how some people on here are really good at parodying the right on here?

You're not so good at trying to do the same to the left.

The most ever recorded in a single day -
not only in Victoria but Australia.

I saw a video somewhere -
that party in Melbourne that the police busted -
was organised on social media and the video
showed it was full of Africans.

What worries me is that Florida USA has
10,000 new cases every day yet it has
a smaller population than Australia -
but -
it's summer over there and very hot.
Cold and flu viruses normally go away over summer.
This virus is different -
it's a devil virus and I think it's an escaped bio weapon.

And 2 deaths today so far.

They predicted it would get worse before getting better.

I see now that our Yarra Ranges has gone from zero, then 2 a few days ago, now 5 cases.

I see Gippsland and other regional areas have got a count too.

Why didn’t the whole of Victoria go into lockdown?
What’s happened leaving regional Victoria open, for people to go there and spread this virus.

Lock down  the whole of Victoria before it gets really bad all over!!!

As we all know, idiocy isn't just confined to the eastern States.

Optus Stadium streaker: $50K fine on cards for idiot quarantine ground invader

https://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/afl/optus-stadium-streaker-50k-fine-on-cards-f...

Quote:
An idiotic Perth football fan is facing a $50,000 fine and two weeks in quarantine after running onto the field late in the clash between Geelong and Collingwood at Optus Stadium.

Just after a goal to Cat Cameron Guthrie with two minutes left in the game, the young man without a shirt on came from the southern wing and got about 30m onto the field before he was tackled by a number of security guards and dragged from the field.

Of course, many of us in Perth thought it was stupid to allow this game to go ahead here in the first place, especially when it was 2 Victorian teams playing and the players were still supposed to be in their 14 day quarantine after arriving here.

Now, we're all waiting to see what happens in the next few weeks - whether Perth is going to end up in the same situation as Melbourne with a big coronavirus outbreak.

I wonder what Optus will think about their 50 million dollar 10 year deal to put their name on the new Perth Stadium (as it was supposed to be called) if the newspaper headlines soon scream "Big Perth coronavirus outbreak linked to Optus Stadium"?

I can't believe people here are already complaining loudly about the possibility of the AFL Grand Final being played in Brisbane instead of here in Perth, it was even front page news in today's West Australian newspaper. They can have it as far as I'm concerned.

And here's you doing the right thing hoping it will be over so you can travel interstate ..... & you continue to be let down by your fellow Victorians...

the reports of Victorians sneaking into QLD whilst the borders were still closed via back block western routes & openly skiting about it are growing.

There were at least 2 reports from around here .... one from Woodgate & one from Hervey Bay.

Now they've opened the border with NSW it's worse .... there's been an increase in clusters in NSW .... therefore the chances of cases spiking in QLD will be increased.

Then there's that case of the "Millionaire Bogan" from Melbourne that was let through a check point by a Police Officer because of a compassionate plea ... which then changed & told the cop he was really coming to buy tyres for his motorbike(why all that way for tyres?) & the cop still let him through.....

that copper should have his job on the line for that.

I went out on the highway to go to a mates place yesterday ... only for about 3 klms .... nothing but interstate plates.  Angry

Anna needs to shut the gate again.

If I were in charge of Qld, I would definitely shut the state borders.
My thinking is it is best to confine the virus cases as best we can.
If we can keep a few states virtually virus free and with their business almost back to normal, that's got to be good for the overall economy of Australia.

I can't understand why people would need to cross the borders (except for compassionate reasons perhaps.. and even then some procedures need to be in place), let alone boast of it.
I think they are in the minority though, most people in Vic are being sensible.

The major problem though that we have is even if 99% are sensible, it only takes the idiot 1% to spread it.

I for one am sick of hearing about the 'poor security guards' who 'had no training'. How many brains does it take for any security guard to know that you have to keep people in quarantine, in quarantine. And that you shouldn't be releasing them to shop in return for sex? That's not a lack of training, that's corruption.

I expect numbers to go up more. Even if they go up to 500 or so a day, that would still be a modest increase but if they don't start to steady out in a week or so, we will have lost it.

Do you have any internment camps down there? ... confine them in camps, and from there ship them back to their jungle of origin
