If I were in charge of Qld, I would definitely shut the state borders.
My thinking is it is best to confine the virus cases as best we can.
If we can keep a few states virtually virus free and with their business almost back to normal, that's got to be good for the overall economy of Australia.

I can't understand why people would need to cross the borders (except for compassionate reasons perhaps.. and even then some procedures need to be in place), let alone boast of it.
I think they are in the minority though, most people in Vic are being sensible.

The major problem though that we have is even if 99% are sensible, it only takes the idiot 1% to spread it.

I for one am sick of hearing about the 'poor security guards' who 'had no training'. How many brains does it take for any security guard to know that you have to keep people in quarantine, in quarantine. And that you shouldn't be releasing them to shop in return for sex? That's not a lack of training, that's corruption.

I expect numbers to go up more. Even if they go up to 500 or so a day, that would still be a modest increase but if they don't start to steady out in a week or so, we will have lost it.

Speaking to my sister in Innisfail today .... she said there are Victorians all over the place in Far Nth Qld.

How did they get into the state & then up there & why haven't they been questioned by the Police?

Maybe you should write to and ask your police chief commissioner if those cops are having sex with them border crossers!
If convenience is towing a camper or caravan.... well.... would it surprise anyone at this point in time of weirdness?

the weirdness i see is that states are polarising .

i saw some victorians were hiding in railway carriages trying to cross a state border.

like a scene out of a WW2 movie.

bizzare that we would let our country decay to this level of rediculousness

Yes,  428 cases this morning.

We're doomed here in Victoria.

Humans are idiots - that's the problem.

In the last two days, I've probably seen about a dozen people on the streets of Perth shaking hands.

Nobody in Woolworths uses the provided hand sanitiser or the sanitiser wipes for the baskets.

People cough without covering their mouths.

30,000 people go to a football match.

Idiots.

Dangerous idiots.

Because this exposes the real selfish uncaring types, that don’t give a f. K about any of us, will f k their way to where they want to go because they source other weak selfish types that would fall for that.
Need I go on?
You got the picture? Been around forever sexual favouritism!
And if it works, then it will keep on going until it doesn’t.
But....Snivelling selfish lack of empathy people do exist!
In all walks of life!

This ain't good:

Sad

...

Did the weekly shop yesterday at the local Coles. I had a face-mask on ... there were many more people wearing them than previously.

I feel a stage 4 lock-down coming on though.

not really.
the dangerous idiots are the people who think that if we just have enough police issueing enough fines we can legislate the virus into non-existence.

this virus is unstoppable .

we have wasted a billion dollars trying to stop fireants spreading.(and failed miserably)

and how much smaller and more mobile is a strand of rna.

the idiots are the people who waste so much resources trying to fight the inevitable .

are the victorian hospitals over run?

because florida, texas and LA are coping with literally 10's of 1000's of new cases per day

yeah , well go to level 4 for 6 weeks.
and then restart and go through the rinse and repeat cycle forever.
what have you gained.

level 4 is called for when the head of ICU at the austin hospital says so.
not when gweg and mr smith wet their pants

No, you're wrong ........again

if people followed the rules you wouldn't need police fining them. It's only because idiots like you don't listen that restrictions will get tougher.

If only 1% of people are idiots then that's enough to keep spreading it.
Most people are trying to do the right thing.
