Yeah, right. And, it is the right of the rest of us not to be potentially infected with COVID-19 by idiots like her. Seems to know all about her "rights" but couldn't care less about her responsibilities (watch the video).

Time for big fines AND some prison sentences to be handed out.

I agree 100%.

Putting them in prison, in solitary confinement, should definitely be an option for these morons.

We don't want these dangerous idiots loose in society.

Coronavirus:
Australia could have up to 500,000 secret infections

If the above study is correct -
we've already lost the battle.
All we can do is slow it down by wearing masks etc.
People need to get back to work.

I saw a story on a maternity unit in New York
The doctor they are said that nearly 100% of the women coming in to give birth were testing positive to covid.
Very few had symptoms
And when they went and tested pre existing children it seems that this is where the mother's were catching it from

Bobby

We have to face reality
There is simply no way of stopping a virus which is super contagious
And where literally hundreds of thousands of people don't even know they have it

Short of testing every single human in Australia every day
At a cost of a trillion-dollars
We are just going to have to accept this as the new norm

Now we should I isolate the nursing homes
And there should be dedicated staff there
And their staff should be treated as always potentially infected
and maybe all staff in nursing home should be tested regularly

But we have wasted all this time
Fussing about testing all the healthy people
whilst allowing this to spread through literally dozens of nursing homes

it should have been obvious to the politicians from day 1
that the correct response to this was to protect the nursing homes with the most stringent of stringent of stringent of measures

elderly and vulnerable people who are not in nursing homes where to stay in their houses indefinitely

And stop wasting time and precious resources on trying to isolate this in the community

How are you going to do it
It is an impossible task to do it
Why waste billions upon billions of dollars doing something that is for all intents and purposes meaningless

Only one reason
So politicians and their public servant friends
Can look good on television

I agree if the above study is correct.
We've already lost the battle.

Yes Bobby

Schools open and closed and open and closed
Means parents can't get to work
Millions of dollars spent giving schools deep cleans
Meaningless and futile

Daniel has one job and one job alone
Ensure that nobody with the virus dribbling out of their nose
Or a productive cough
Gets within 100 yards of a nursing home
Because that's where all the deaths will be

I don't think I can recall a school child in Europe or America featuring as a covid statistic
Or if it does happen it is incredibly rare

3 children died in a week from viral influenza in 2018
So this is without a doubt less of a threat two young people than influenza

Do we have schools on rolling shutdowns and deep cleanse for viral influenza
Of course not

Forget about The Young and the healthy
Let them get on with running an economy so we have some food and resources to provide to the elderly

In all seriousness when Greece went into deep recession
First thing that was cut
Was chemotherapy and radiotherapy for the elderly

So all this talk about our concern for the health of our elderly citizens
They rely on the economy to provide the funding for such expensive healthcare
The elderly should be urging young people
To stay the hell away from them
And to get their asses back to work

Thanks Aqua,
looks like it has all been a waste of time.
I said right from the start that it
was impossible to stop an airborne virus.
Let's get real -
even hospital staff covered in PPE still get it -
over 350 workers the last time I saw the results.

You know I was looking online
And I posted the hospital workers
Shouldn't be catching public transport

Jesus you should have seen their response

We are essential workers and there is no parking
How dare you criticize our Noble healthcare workers
You try and find a park near our Hospital

It wasn't a criticism
It was an observation that inevitably healthcare workers will catch this
Either at work and then transmitted to the entire bus and train
Or they will catch it on the bus and train
And transmitted to the whole Hospital

When even so-called health professionals appear unable to use their brain
What hope have you got with Joe six pack

Look at the Queensland border
Freight still gets through unchallenged

Joe blow from Star track express in Melbourne
Who is an asymptomatic carrier
Gets waved through across the border
Stops at the servo in Griffith
Calls iin for a meat pie at Goulburn
Has a counter meal at a pub at Parramatta
Another fuel stop at Dubbo
Crosses the border and has somewhere in Brisbane
Spend the night at a motel
Then heads on back to Melbourne
Spreading the virus everywhere he goes without even knowing it

And our ridiculous politicians think they are going to stop this virus
By having the army form checkpoints
Around suburbs
Do they have a functional brain

I would not be in the least bit surprised if that were true.

I said a few months back that the world had already lost the battle with COVID-19 on the day the first infected person boarded a plane and left China.

We in Australia lost our battle the day the first infected person arrived in Australia which, according to this, was January 25th when an infected man returned to Victoria from Wuhan, China.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_in_Australia

Quote:
Australian borders were closed to all non-residents on 20 March

Too late, of course. Someone said recently that Australia does end up doing the right things to try and stop this virus but usually 2 weeks too late.

And, although the blame for the current situation in Victoria can be put on those slack "security guards", the ultimate blame should be placed on the Federal government for allowing 350,000+ citizens and permanent residents to return here after the borders were supposed to have been closed months ago.

And, Victoria is to blame for the slowly increasing number of infections in New South Wales by allowing 50,000+ Victorians to flee to NSW and even Queensland by giving 36 hours notice of the Melbourne/Mitchell Shire lockdown 3 weeks ago.

Something was finally done to stem the tide of all these "returning travellers" from overseas (reduced numbers allowed in, pay for their own quarantine, etc.). Even the airlines have (not deliberately, I'm sure) slowed the arrivals by wanting everyone to pay for business class fares.

Again, too little and too late.

I also wouldn't be surprised if our supposedly "COVID-19 free" Western Australia has had quite a few undetected cases over the past few months and probably has some undetected ones right now.

Oh, on the subject of WA, Clive Palmer's Federal Court case to get WA's border reopened starts today. I will be very surprised if he succeeds.

‘A menace to Australia’: WA premier slams Clive Palmer after coronavirus 'beat up' remark

https://www.sbs.com.au/news/a-menace-to-australia-wa-premier-slams-clive-palmer-...

Quote:
West Australian Premier Mark McGowan has labelled Clive Palmer "a menace to Australia" after he suggested the coronavirus pandemic was a media "beat-up".

The billionaire mining magnate will front the Federal Court on Monday to challenge WA's interstate border restrictions.

If Clive does succeed, I would strongly recommend he stay away from WA because I'm sure there's a good chance he may get beaten up himself.

The politicians are destroying our country in
a useless battle to stop an airborne virus.
It's a war that we cannot win -
we just have to survive it as best we can.
Yes - 100s of 1000s of people will die -
but they will die no matter what we do -
it's just a question of whether they die now or 1 to 2 years from now.

Bullshit.

We're winning it in WA.

The virus has slowed right down.

It's slowing down in many countries.

It's not a useless battle at all, and it's working quite well in many places.

Yes.

Imagine how high that number would be if we hadn't successfully fought to slow it down.

Just look at America for the answer.

Greggy,
as unpleasant as the truth is -
we have to accept death -
that could be me or even you -
many people will die from the virus
and all we can do is slow it down.
The promised vaccines may not work
and will arrive too late.

That's all they were ever trying to do, and it has worked very well (in most states).

The battle has not been a waste of time - it's been very successful.

The situation is hopeless.
We cannot avoid an airborne virus.
Eventually it will get us all.
people just can't accept reality -
they live in a dream world
where whatever they think is the truth.
