Thanks Redneck. It is certainly an interesting conundrum. Perhaps Aussie really was a lawyer. It takes a grand conniving to use rules intended to protect privacy as a tool for doxxing people. And to think Aussie and John are now trying to use this as evidence we do not value privacy.

many posters had written things in Sparta that revealed
more about their private lives than they would have put in an open and public forum.
A lot of that information would be useful to a doxxer.
There was a need to attempt to find out who did it.

Members IP address are private and not revealed to anyone, except the mods, whose job it is to protect that privacy. Sharing that information with members of other forums goes against everything that means.
