Self awareness ?

Reasoning ?

+++++

an aside.....

I think i may have had a minor stroke last Sunday, midday.

I suddenly felt [slightly] 'confused'.

I had to think, deliberately, about usually routine daily tasks.

Those symptoms, now, seem to have completely passed.

Just having 'a senior moment' i guess.

Almost geriatric Yadda.

Some people grow their brain, other's their mind.
Take Bojack. He has a well educated brain that followed a process to earn a Degree to prove that.
...but he lacks a mind of his own.

Jedi Mind Trick.......

Whenever you put things down [especially objects [keys/slippers, etc] which you will later, definitely want to know where they are !! ],
very consciously say to yourself, as you put the object down;
"I am putting my keys/slippers down, here."

It works !!!

It is a Jedi mind trick !       Wink

Master Yadda   [or is it Master Yoda ?, i forgot !]

The Brain functions as an automated central operating system with hardware and peripheries.

The Mind is the programming that is put into it for daily use, and sometimes needs updates or re-installation to run properly.  The eternal trouble is that each Mind has different software inserted into it and even starts from different hardware, so there is next to no uniformity in the Cyber-Mind of the Human Cyborg.  Not only that but the basic hardware can be damaged along the way, since the Human cyborg is required to live physically and make its own way and not simply remain suspended in Cyberspace.

grapp,

Your words reminded me, of what i said here......

Yadda said, somewhere.....
Quote:

Reading scripture is a form of spiritual invocation [i believe].
And imo, the words and thoughts expressed within scripture, express [to me] the mind of our God.
And, reading those words and thoughts, exposes me to that spirit, which i [choose, and] want to be influenced by.
i.e.
The spirit of God.
It is that simple.

Yes - that's one example.  A more telling example is how individuals can 'read' the same faith, yet come up with totally opposed points of view as to its intent and purpose* - I won't say principally which kind these days... I'll just say that the victims of Christchurch were peaceful ones of that ilk and suffered and died for the wrong interpretations of others of the same group ... but I don't want to upset peccary again... though that could be Inevitable™.........

It could be argued that the same thing occurs with Christianity - but the differences are much more in the spiritual interpretation and not over such things as 'should a Christian kill ***lims because they are considered an enemy'?  Christianity is a religion of peace these days, having outgrown the Middle Ages and the NEED for Popes Militant etc to take up arms in defence of selves, people and homeland, let alone their faith.

Christianity Ez Paz!

Christianity is the most feminist religion - it has far more women priests etc than other religions do...  well.... apart from Feminism - it has many High Priestesses and Acolytes performing their Delphic Oracular commentaries and campaigns.   Grin  Cool  Huh

Most people do not forget it is that they never knew where they left their slippers to start with.

I often forget where the ex put the car keys after she took them from the hook they live on.......... sort of the everyday equivalent of moving the furniture for Stevie Wonder.....

What happens in the mind stays in the mind.............  Cool

The obsession would be funny if it wasn't so sadly pathetic.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

The Brain operates the entire Human physical system. Our senses, our movement and more.
The Mind 'interprets' all that we experience through that Brain/Body ability. Our interpretation is influenced by what we experience through life and education, trial and error and more. Religion, Politics - all evolving and growing our Mind.

It's our Mind that really separated us from the Animal Kingdom... except Orca.
