While other nations 'couldn't afford' to close down and carried on sick as a dog - aggravating the contagia contamination from a world of filth, over-population, rubbish from over-indulgent rich nations and people, pollutions galore and a 'sick' world of now extreme and erratic weather now.

Australia deals with the Virus 'under control'.
America deals with the Virus 'out of control'.

So Australia did 'months' to get on top of the Virus.
America will do 'years' before they get on top of things Medically.

Short term pain, long term gain.

But the rest of the world will not change.
Eventually, Australia will succumb to the virus as it caves to the World's effort because the world will say to Australia
"You're in it together with us".
Rather than see the world 'change' and look to Australia, rather than the USA, for once.
Will Boris turn to take the Australian approach?
Not likely.

Seems the entire 'concept' of living in Cities fails any constructive actions of Virus protocol and preventions.
Cities just can't do it, unless under full lockdown like Melbourne experienced (which is the only sure fire method so far - like a fire blanket snuffing out the fire).

I can't see the 'cities' of the world rising to conquer the Virus. Instead, they seem to 'germinate' the Virus into a more devastating 'Pandemic' status. Cities are the Super Spreaders... any 'mass congregation' of people really.

Even in the Art world, City Art is considered 'lower class' than Rural Art. Politics is the reverse - the Rural people beaten in a Civil War of Politics, now the 'lower class'.

When Asimov wrote about his famous 'Spacers' (of Aurora) - he was describing Australians in their pure form, untainted by Politics of USA/UK in the north.
Disease free - Australians.

Funny how things turn out.

Possibly - I've had chronic rhinitis and allergies all my life, so no bug that infects air passages etc would come near me with my built-up immunity... the other bugs would drive them out tout de suite... had a runny and sometimes bloody nose for a few days... nothing unusual...

Fat Steve and Janeen, promoted to the public service, can sit at home eating Maccas and watching Netflicks. The "noble Chows" in Wuhan can stay welded in. Gladys and Brad can continue their morning sermons on safety.

But the Superior Man can demonstrate his personal responsibility. Not for him social distancing, working from home and ordering Uber Eats. The Superior Man is a model for the youth of today, he is at the pinnacle of the "narrow path to success", a path few dare to tread; not so much a man as a god.

Study him, leftards: he might be immune.
