When the ABC is writing cathing articles about a Labor premier, you know thing must be getting very very bad.

This guy!!!! 700 more deaths than NSW, billions for the extra lockdown, countless lives and businesses ruined and all this arsehole can do is point fingers.

I'd like to see a bit more of a spotlight put on the security firm, to be honest.
If you pay a company to do a job, they should do a proper job. I am sick of hearing excuses about lack of training etc.
Government should have done more to provide guidelines but the security firm or firms should be answerable. What security guard, paid to keep people in quarantine, lets them out to go shopping as a favour? You don't need much training to know that isn't on and you should be held accountable.

How about a spotlight onto exactly which security firms let us down and if they are still in business & why they are not being sued.

Former Sports Minister Bridgette 'legs' McKenzie was thrown under the bus by ScoMo to take the Media heat off his Fire Cockups. It worked.
She went down for her Fuhrer.

Victorian Health Minister Jenny Mikakos resigns

https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/victorian-health-minister-jenny-mika...

Victorian Health Minister Jenny Mikakos has resigned from cabinet and the Parliament, just a day after Premier Daniel Andrews revealed she was "accountable" for the botched hotel quarantine program.

"I am disappointed that my integrity has sought to be undermined," Ms Mikakos said in a statement on Twitter.

"I know that my statement and evidence to the inquiry would have been uncomfortable for some.

"I have today written to the Governor of Victoria to resign my commissions as a Minister effective today. I will also be resigning from the Parliament."

The three security firms are Wilson Security, MSS and Unified. Here's a good starting point Sherri

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-08-17/wilson-security-coronavirus-quarantine-ho...

I understand a class action has been launched against the firms but I have not further researched.

There was a moment that ScoMo was getting the heat for all of his actions during the Wild Fires. Resignation or replacement within the Party was 'expected' from the Media and its Public. ScoMo was getting angry and upset - it wasn't his fault he'd say.
Then Bridget appeared in the spotlight with her Sports Rorts and ScoMo quickly took the opportunity to step back and hide behind her - let her get all the limelight. Now she was the 'bad guy'. The People wanted Blood and ScoMo made her the sacrificial lamb. ScoMo's stuff-ups have all but been forgotten, now hidden by the limelight of Andrews (a State Premier - which makes ScoMo's position of Federal Prime Minister more empowered while other State Premiers give him stick.) and his poster-boy for public entertainment execution.

ScoMo, although making a great speech to 'share' our potential for Vaccine and show the world, let alone put the accusation that Trump would do otherwise out there. ScoMo would throw anyone under the bus while he's in power.
He's also lucky Albanese's efforts of opposition is like someone who doesn't want the limelight or responsibility to take the PM job during this Era of Criseses.

Sounds like she has done the right thing at last.

While we're having all of these "under the bus chuckings", resignations and enquiries, etc. I'm wondering if someone is going the ask the most important question of all.

Which is - why are all of these "returned travellers" not being checked for COVID-19 BEFORE they board the planes to fly back to Australia? Then this entire fiasco would never have occurred in the first place.

I believe it is just a matter of time before one of these "returned travellers" infect one or more of the crew on these planes and they start spreading the virus far and wide during their next flights (since last I heard airline crews were still exempt from quarantine requirements).

Instead of all of this 'stuffing around' they need to go directly to the original source of the problem and fix it. Before it happens again. And again...

False negative test, been exposed to the virus10 minutes before the test is done, relying on another country to test correctly plus a million more reasons.

Everyone who gets off a plane is presumed infectious.

NSW 53 and we had double the amount of returned travellers.

Dan killed 700 people.
