Less work= more pay (for women) Women tend not to apply for jobs they are unable to perform, just as many men don't. Don't you think sexism is long past it's used by date? So now men can't perform teaching, banking, public service, real estate, medicine, nursing (men used to be the ONLY nurses), pharmacy, retail, politics and so on and so on? They'd prefer to be out there in the hot sun picking strawberries or digging ditches? You don't imagine there might be just a HINT of discrimination involved, do you? The only "discrimination" is in your mind, Graps. Women have moved out into the workforce and today hold many jobs previously only held by men. Today, they are accorded their full rights as people, the same rights traditionally held by men. They are chosen on their abilities (in the main), not their gender. .. such as preferential schooling, preferential scholarships, preferential appointment to positions, being pumped into 'traditionally male' roles without men being pumped into 'traditionally female roles', at LEAST 50% positions in Labor politics..... I fear, my son, that you are confusing rights with Rights... and equalities with Equality ... equal employment opportunity with genuine equal treatment on merit .... Each and every one of these 'rights' or women opens the road to discriminatory practices without any means of setting things right and Equal... Keep up, son - I can't lead someone willfully blind over twenty miles in four hours at night. The only "wilful blindness" is your own, Graps. Women start at a disadvantage. They have been denied political and social rights. Those rights have been restored to them after they were stolen. It took two world wars and a revolution in social thought to achieve it. Today, they are approaching equality but only just. Too few women in positions of real responsibility, too few women control their own finances. Too much housework and too much child rearing. Yep. Islam has been oppressing women since the koran was dragged out of the butt hole of the devil. Women have zero rights under Islamic rule. I'm glad you are starting to see the light.
