No poo Sherlock ... Aussie has always said he's a retired lawyer. ..there is no ambiguity for anyone to get confused over. Retired means he is no longer practicing or if you prefer the dictionaries definition it's 'Withdrawn from ones occupation'. There is nothing to get confused about.
