She should have made the ABC fair and unbiased -
not a left wing, finger pointing, virtue signalling, propaganda site.

Perhaps they should just sell it to Murdoch?  He'd know what to do with it.  You'd love what you see then, hey, Bobby?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

No - just put someone in charge who is fair and unbiased.

And who would that be, Bobby?  You?  You're hardly unbiased.  Few people are.  The ABC is doing a good job, holding a mirror up to Australian society and if you don't like the image that you see, well, who's to blame, hey?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The ABC is too biased.
It's Ita Buttrose's fault.

They should have advertised for an unbiased candidate.

Again I ask, who would that be, Bobby?  What you really want is someone biased in the same direction you are.  Right?  Tsk, tsk.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

What about:
Derryn Hinch,
Pauline Hanson or
Fraser Anning?

None are unbiased, Bobby.  You do know what the word, "unbiased" means, don't you?  "To not have biases".  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

True, we all have unconscious biases.

Tsk, tsk.

In the 15th century Portuguese sailors made extensive maps of Australia's east coast. But because two Papal Bulls issued on May 3 & 4 of 1493, which concerned the division of the undiscovered world between Spain and Portugal would have required them to surrender these maps to Spain, the Portuguese chose to conceal them.

The original maps were lost in an earthquake and fire in the 18th century but records still exist.

The reason we aren't speaking Portuguese is because of Pope Alexander V1.

Cuba and (North) Vietnam established diplomatic relations in 1960, and Castro visited Vietnam three times. His famed 1973 wartime visit can be read about here. He even apparently said in 1973 that ‘for Vietnam, Cuba is willing to donate blood’. This wasn't entirely accurate, as they sold it rather than donating it; a Wall Street Journal article quotes a 1967 report from the InterAmerican Human Rights Commission saying that the blood of Cuban political dissidents was extracted before they were shot. The blood was then sold to Vietnam at ‘fifty dollars per pint with the dual purpose of obtaining hard currency in dollars and contributing to the Vietcong communist aggression’. A lengthier account can be read here.

1850s-70s
A Long and Dangerous Journey
1850s Sailing Clipper illustrated by Bill Wood

For those who travelled to Australia in the nineteenth century, the journey was often long and dangerous. In calm weather a sailing ship might take as long as four months, while a well-run clipper ship with favourable winds could make the journey in a little over half this time. These ships represented the pinnacle of sailing ship technology. With their streamlined hulls and acres of sail designed to catch even the slightest breeze, clippers were built primarily for speed.

Not all beer and skittles, Super. As the person previously known as Lois O'Donohue told us, domestic violence was unknown before the 'invasion'.

How on earth does she know that?

The ABC should be unbiased because it is PUBLICLY FUNDED. It's in the charter.  It must NOT be biased.
A private media outlet can be as biased as it can afford to be but that's  not the case for a PUBLIC broadcaster.   You did know that the ABC is public, didn't  you, Bbwian, or have I surprised you with the news?
Are trying to be cunning or are you really this stupid?

The question was who, not why.

The question is - why are you a stinker?   Bias versus unbias is the question, stinking turd.

1. Unbiased
2 who is unbiased.

As you were, turd - bobbing in the s bend.

The ABC is just a load of schit on this issue.

6pm news on radio 702 went something like this,
many people have boycotted Australia Day celebrations and joined invasion day protests etc etc. That was it.

No mention that millions upon millions had BBQs, went to the beach and farqing well celebrated it. My plan was to go to a harbour beach so left at 845am, couldn't get even close, they were jam packed with literally thousands of people celebrating and ended up doing a plan B.

And no mention that most of the formal events have been cancelled due to WuFlu and not boycotted.

The ABC is breaking it's charter buy pushing the personal agenda of staff and not reporting what's actually happening.

Gaven Morris, the director of news at the ABC, told staff they were too focused on the interests of "inner-city left-wing elites"

I noticed that the only violence reported in Malbdishu was from marchers in favour of Aboriginal whatever abusing and kicking a ball out of the hands of some bloke wearing a T-shirt...

Cue Peccary with 'White supremacists' .....

Here we go.

Others said changing the date of Australia Day was not enough and the whole celebration should be axed.

Another made a demand that stopped people in their tracks – $1 million for each and every Indigenous Australian.

I worked with a bloke back in the mid-80s who reckoned we should give each aboriginal $50,000 and send them into the Simpson Desert to live.  Grin

Oh, dearie, dearie, me.  You appear to have mixed up a lot of bullshit and it comes, unremarkably to nothing really.  It is all detailed in the Theory of the Portuguese discovery of Australia. The observations of the facial and cranial injuries were made at first settlement. The point being that pre-settlement Aboriginal life was very violent; especially for women.
