Radicalisation

That process is commonly recognised by many, as being a type of 'feedback loop'.

And when we respect God's 'feedback loop' criteria, it tends to produce righteousness in man.

WHICH IS PLEASING TO MY GOD.

Amos 5:14
Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.
15  Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

Whenever we identify an entity which fashions and creates evil, we ought to spurn it, and to hate it.

This is actually how people become radicalised
Teach them that to hate and to judge will bring them closer to God.
Then it is only a small step to interpret anyone who doesn't follow their particular brand of religion as "evil"

barnacle,

I must confess, i am a radical believer, in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

And i am a radical believer in, and supporter of, the precepts which are taught by the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

.

Psalms 1:1
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalms 23:1
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Psalms 25:8
Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9  The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10  All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11  For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
12  What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
13  His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14  The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Psalms 32:1
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2  Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Psalms 73:1
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

Proverbs 1:10
My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
11  If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12  Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13  We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14  Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15  My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
16  For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

Proverbs 4:14
Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
15  Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
16  For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
17  For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
18  But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
19  The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

Isaiah 56:1
Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Jeremiah 21:12
O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Jeremiah 22:3
Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Highly 'radicalising' stuff, isn't it !!!              Tongue

Love God.

Love HIS righteousness.

Be blessed.

barnacle,

You are talking about 'hatred of the other'.

I'm not a moslem.

I do not follow the moslem religion,       ....which YES, teaches every moslem, as a primary precept of ISLAM, the 'hatred of the other',
the hatred of every disbeliever.

"....Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject Faith."
Koran 2.98

"....those who reject Allah have no protector."
Koran 47.008
v. 8-11

"......the curse of Allah is on those without Faith."
Koran 2.089

"Fighting [against disbelievers] is prescribed for you, and [if] ye dislike it.....Allah knoweth, and ye know not."
Koran 2.216

.

barnacle,

Your presumption, is a mistaken one.

There is no sanction against     'disbelievers'    in the Old Testament laws, God's laws, given to the ancient Israelites.
[....but yes, there is a sanction against wicked and violent people, and against violent criminals, in my religion, in the religion of the God of bible.]

But so long as a stranger ['disbeliever'] did not engage in oppressive or criminal behaviour, the stranger was free to live among the ancient Hebrews, and to enjoy the full protection of God's law.

The God of Israel commanded it.

see, Deuteronomy 10:17-19  !!!

.

Exodus 12:49
One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

Exodus 22:21
Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him...

Exodus 23:9
Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger...

Leviticus 19:33
And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
34  But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself...

Leviticus 25:47-49
[these verses clearly speak of [and reveal that it was entirely 'lawful'] for Hebrews [themselves] to become bond servants [slaves], to prosperous strangers living among the Hebrews.]

Deuteronomy 1:16
And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

Deuteronomy 10:17-19
For the LORD your God... loveth the stranger, ...Love ye therefore the stranger:
for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Deuteronomy 24:14
Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:

Deuteronomy 24:17
Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge:
18  But thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing.

Deuteronomy 27:19
Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger...

Oh dear Yadda, I guess you were hoping that I wouldn't look it up

    Deuteronomy 17

If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant; 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

There is also the issue of the belief that anyone who doesn't believe Jesus Christ is their savior will go to Hell when they die

No there isn't. Atheism isn't a belief, it is the absence of belief. There is not a single example of a terrorist act being committed by a person inspired by a lack of belief in God or as a means of furthering the Atheist cause.

Yes !

Barnacle,

Do you understand the concept of a Covenant, between TWO parties ?

"And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do."

All Covenants, have rules, which apply within that Covenant, between the parties to the Covenant.

Such people [in Deuteronomy 17] are, Hebrew Covenant breakers.

And such people are, subject to the penalty, that is set out, in Deuteronomy 17.

AND, the Covenant breakers, would know the rules, of the Covenant.

As part of the covenant between God, and his people, the Old Testament commanded God's people to kill any Hebrew who had intentionally broken their holy covenant with their God.

Think treason, in a modern context !

The Hebrews were commanded to kill any Hebrew person, who tried to corrupt the Hebrew nation.

------- >

Yadda said....
Quote:

Why must the Hebrews keep God's ordinances and laws ?

Because the Hebrews had freely, willingly, and without coercion, entered into an agreement [a holy covenant] with their God to live by/according to his laws.

Exodus 19:5
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
6  And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
7  And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

The ancient Hebrews were A COVENANT PEOPLE.

They had entered into a solemn covenant with their God.

[n.b.
There was nothing to stop any Hebrew from leaving his people, if he/she did not want to live according to the covenant that his people had entered into, with God.
Any Hebrew could leave his people, and go and live 'in the world', among the Gentiles.
Thereby, becoming a Gentile!
But if the Hebrew person remained living among God's people, and blatantly and intentionally, broke the covenant with God [that he was constrained by], that Hebrew person understood, that he was risking LAWFUL execution, according to the terms of the covenant, with God.]

.

Leviticus 20:24
...I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.

Leviticus 20:26
And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

So there is no danger to you.

Atheists are going to die.

You will die, and then you will be looking at that lid for a very long time.

As long as i'm not a moslem, you'll live a long life, and then you'll die.

Typically, Christians don't go about murdering other people, because of what they DO NOT believe.

Moslems do that.

But not Christians.

.

The gist of the moslem's creed.

"O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him)."
Koran 9.123

The gist of the Christians creed.

Romans 12:18
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Barnacle,

Do you have a problem with Christians believing that their God, will redeem them from death ?

If you do, then, imo, it is you who have the problem.

Are you sure about that?
The KKK are a Christian organisation and they have no qualms about killing people because of their skin colour.
And as i have already pointed out, the Bible DOES promote the stoning of non Christians.

But most Christians won't do that, just like most Muslims don't
It is typical of the conservative religious Right that they believe their own tribe are virtuous with a few crazy fundamentalists who don't represent the whole, but they judge any other religious group by their crazy fundamentalists.

Yadda, thats why you and your ilk are such hypocrites. I would feel far safer with the average Muslim than i would with you

I'm not sure that JESUS-THE-CHRIST, would agree with the KKK, that they are a Christian organisation.

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Hebrews 1:9
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Yadda, thats why you and your ilk are such hypocrites.

I would feel far safer with the average Muslim than i would with you

Barnacle,

If you truly feel that way about people like myself, then maybe you would be happier,
migrating to, and living in, a moslem majority nation ?

Perhaps Iran, or Turkey, or Pakistan.

I'm sure that they would treat you well, and fairly - NOT.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

I'm not sure that JESUS-THE-CHRIST, would agree with the KKK, that they are a Christian organisation.

You are falling for the "no true Scotsman" fallacy
