The mention of vaccinations brought audible boos that echoed throughout the stadium and around the world.

I heard that.

How totally stupid.
People that refuse a vaccine have no societal ethics and they are misguided in their decision

Ones a paywall. Dont know what is happened with the other one, its there if you google. But this is what people need to understand when reporting recovery rates of 99 percent, the data isnt there to extrapolate these statistics . Some covid mutations are more deadly than others. In a lot of the 3rd world if you are over 50 and you get sick they dont waste resources getting you to hospital, they consider your time has come and you live or die at home. Theres no one taking statistical information from these people. At the end of this pandemic the true deaths will only ever be estimated and the real death toll is huge , much bigger than being reported , possibly 10 times as much in some places. Whole multi generational families have been wiped out in some rural locations while we sit at home and quarantine while playing on the internet. Have a look at this chart showing Doctors per capita around the world.

Africa in particular is a basket case.
Some African countries have no reportable Doctors in the whole country. If you get Covid or anything else there you are on your own, notice the media isnt even reporting on these places? The death toll is enormous in these places.

Same. I read about a celeb in the US whos copped abuse about supposedly getting her vaccine early. But from my reading, its not her fault its the system. She'd waited in line at the end of the day and if there were any spare vaccines left, she didn't jump a queue so to speak.

So the price they pay for queue jumping is potentially some risk to their safety. Small, but some risk.

Indeed, my understanding though is its not queue jumping in the sense they have to get rid of the vaccine at the end of the day due to storage, so better to use it on people than bin them
