It goes below zero in Hobart nearly every night in winter.
I can even snow as late as Xmas.

It does not get below zero in Hobart nearly every night in winter. Even Mount Wellington close by does not see most nights below zero. Statistically, Melbourne was colder than Hobart in July this year. I read the weather records.

By the way, I have had a beard for the last 3 months. I shaved and had a haircut in the last week. All of a sudden, it feels cooler. I could imagine that Socks would probably not feel the cold all that much with that coat of fur she has.

Back in my teenage years, our pet cockerspaniel had to endure cold nights with only a bed just above the concrete ground to keep him warm. He toughed it out.

I have told that nasty little troll that at Lure Coursing meets I see dogs with less fur than Socks and they seem to be fine too. I guess that little piece of crap can’t learn.
