Dear Sprint,
it's hard to know what to do with Covid vaccine information:

What if you tell people to take the vaccine and and it kills them?

What if you tell someone not to take the vaccine and Covid kills them?

It's a dilemma.

its the irony of life in general bobby. Roll Eyes

the same thing applies to eating fish..

or an apple for that matter..

if we all looked on the "what if" side of things before doing or eating........we wouldnt get out of bed..

What if you tell person to not take it and it kills 1,000 other people and the person gets life for 1,000 X manslaughter?

Then you get life as an accessory ?

I just calculated that if we had the same number of
deaths per capita as the USA then over 44,000 people would
have died from Covid in Australia.

Proof:

figures from here:
https://coronaboard.com/

The fraction of deaths in the USA = 575,829 dead divided by 331,002,651 total population = 0.0017396.

Multiply 0.0017396 by the population of Australia: 25,499,884 people = 44,361 people who would have died.

That is over 44,000 people dead.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-56783878

Quote:
The number of people who have died worldwide in the Covid-19 pandemic has surpassed three million, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The milestone comes the day after the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) warned the world was "approaching the highest rate of infection" so far.

India - experiencing a second wave - recorded more than 230,000 new cases on Saturday alone.
Almost 140 million cases have been recorded since the pandemic began.
WHO chief Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned on Friday that "cases and deaths are continuing to increase at worrying rates".
He added that "globally, the number of new cases per week has nearly doubled over the past two months".
The US, India and Brazil - the countries with the most recorded infections - have accounted for more than a million deaths between them, according to Johns Hopkins University.
Last week saw an average of 12,000 deaths a day reported around the world, according to news agency AFP.
However, official figures worldwide may not fully reflect the true number in many countries.

Up until a few weeks ago, India appeared to have the pandemic relatively under control.
Cases had been below 20,000 a day for much of January and February - a low figure in a country of more than a 1.3 billion people.
But then infections began to rise rapidly: Saturday saw a record set for the third day in a row, with more than 234,000 cases reported.
Hospitals are running low on beds and oxygen. Sick people are being turned away, and some families are turning to the black market to get the drugs they need. A BBC investigation found medication being offered at five times the official price.

The capital Delhi has gone into lockdown over the weekend, with restrictions put in place in several other states, as officials try to stem the tide.

All eyes are now on the Kumbh Mela festival, which has continued despite fears the millions of Hindu devotees who attend each year could bring the virus home with them. Some 1,600 people tested positive this week at the gathering in the northern state of Uttrakhand, with pictures showing thousands gathered closely together along the banks of the Ganges river.

It has led Prime Minister Narendra Modi to plead with people to refrain from gathering.

The fact that 80% of people are asymptomatic and have from no symptoms to a very mild cold when they get covid-19, makes me question why should EVERYONE get the jab, there's your herd immunity right there.

Why not vaccinate the vulnerable.

Also the current crop of vaccines only protect you for a few months and every year a booster shot will be needed.

And the fact that once you have been vaccinated you may still get covid-19 and pass it on to other people just like a person who has not been vaccinated.

Kinda makes Alan Joyce's policy no jab no flight STUPID...!

Odds are that very few places that Alan takes you would accept you if not vaccinated.

People who have had asymptomatic covid can still suffer long term problems like Lung and heart damage etc.

Asymptomatic Covid is not as harmless as some people think.

I am going to get the flu shot first.
Will be going back to NZ for a rapid visit soon, hence the flu shot.

Might sneak in a covid shot before I leave, the 2nd one after I get back.

How did you go with your AZ shots ?
Mild flu symptoms ?

But why..........................???

Vaccinated OR not you can still catch the virus and spread it.

What don't people understand about this..........!!!

Remember in the beginning they were saying that once a vaccine has been found we can go back to normal.

The current crop of vaccines are just a band aid, the only thing they do is keep you from getting really really sick.

Thats it....!

Maybe in some maybe a very small amount.

If their immune system is strong enough to fight it off with little symptoms why should they experience long term damage to organs etc they were strong enough to fight it off, then its gone.

More for people who have experienced severe effects.

Not ONE cold or flu symptom
It'll be two weeks, tomorrow
Just a bit of dull pain at the injection site. for a couple of days -if someone punched me
So I asked them to "please don't do that"

I'd highly recommend it to anyone who qualifies for it

Its a shame that no one in government has said ok, we have all this AZ around. Anyone who wants the shot now can come get it even if they are under 50.

No you haven't. You've just listened to certain doctors, scientists etc who have toed the party line. That's why you've been able to hear them. Dissenting doctors and scientists have been censored.

That is not science.
