There is a hierarchy in everything. We use words like better or best all the time, every day as we discern difference. Whatever you choose you judge it better than what you don't. We discern difference between individuals, befriend some, avoid others. We distinguish between skills, attitudes, ideas, everything. We do not live as if everything was just like everything else.
Chinese communism is worse than Western civilisation because it is not as open and free or indeed as cooperative.
As for getting fat, you are free to or not. Can't say the same for the millions of famine victims in China, North Korea, the Soviet Union who died because of culturally induced starvation.
Western civilisation is very open to learning from other cultures, that is one of its significant universalising aspects. It is strengthened by its openness to new ideas and improvements. Most traditional cultures die when exposed to new ways.
Western civilisation thrives on critical analysis. In China they put you in jail for it. That's inferior and 'cooperating' with that is appeasing monsters, however slim they may be.
Yes...
It's typical of those who are incapable of comprehending history...
Western civilisation has had multitudes of crisis moments, but has always revived (even reinvented) itself. It's fluid like that.
To name a few: The Renaissance, the fall of Constantinople, the Protestant Reformation, the hundreds of years of European religious and political wars, the Enlightenment, the American Revolution, the US Civil War, the first world war, the downfall of European monarchies and the old political orders, the resistance against the destructive social force of Marxism that gave a political platform to the most murderous dictators in history (the antithesis of what Marx himself imagined), the Great Depression, the rise of fascism, the second world war, the Holocaust, the dissolution of colonial empires...
All of these, at their outset, were predicted to end 'Western' civilisation... But they didn't. And neither will the effete 'force' of 'wokeism'.
And neither will the Chinese regime... The last vestige of perverted Marxism being used to justify an absolute and murderous dictatorship.
