What do you like to do with your spare time besides tell others what not to do? You seem to have the idea that firearms are only intended to cause harm to innocent people. We don't "need" to allow people to ride motorcycles or own light aircraft but it would be a duller world without them. The Nanny State is a dull place.

Why bother? It is history held in your hand. Why want to own a classic car or a sword? If all you can see is some evil destructive tool that is just your perception. If there were one gun I could find and afford it would be the Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver and it has nothing to do with shooting people!

If bikies and pilots each caused 10,000 deaths/year you would stop dullness and prove guns are for pursuit of happiness. Maybe liberty. Not life.

Then again, they could each kill the same as guns, 20,000 deaths/year. Cattle-drive cowboys declare that most shoot-outs are with cattle rustlers (and a few claim jumpers). But the others are innocent folks jest playin' cards and buying grits. The 60,000 fatalities may make the government back east decide to vaccinate all gunslingers and bandits. Pancuronium Bromide is AstraZeneca's terminal injection.
