We should not ally ourselves with wicked people or nations.

If you think that the government of the U.S. is too wicked, for us to align ourselves with them,
then maybe we aught to cut all of our associations with the U.S.

Well, the sad fact is the UNSC was crippled from inception, when the great powers insisted on the veto right, against the wishes of delegates of smaller nations, as well as men of good will like "Doc" Evatt who resisted adoption of the veto power by the 5 permanent SC members. Evatt lost that debate, with catastrophic consequences only 2 years later,  when the UN voted to partition British mandate Palestine....but the SC was unable to speak with one voice, so Israel and Arabs have been at war ever since.

(The Arab world could legitimately ask whether the UN had a mandate to in effect create a new state; but in any case the UNSC could not mandate or maintain peace between the opposing sides, as  outlined above).

So I have to ask you, would you vote to rid the UNSC of its crippling veto?

ie would you vote to enable the UNSC to defend the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights?

Erdogan on Monday said US President Joe Biden had “bloody hands” because of his support of Israel in the raging conflict in the Gaza Strip.

“Palestine territories are awash with persecution, suffering and blood, like many other territories that lost the peace with the end of the Ottomans. And you are supporting that,” Erdogan told Biden.

He also lashed out at Austria for flying the flag of Israel in a sign of solidarity with the Jewish state last week.

“I condemn Austria for hanging the Israeli terror state’s flag,” Erdogan said.

“The Austrian state seems to be trying to make Muslims pay the price for (its role) in the Holocaust.”
