Imagine that 70 years ago, Europeans came along and cited a historical claim on Australia based on their religious background and claimed much of Australia, leaving the indigenous with the crappy parts of the land. I would say that the indigenous would have a much better case of getting back the land taken by the Europeans. But in either scenario, the historical injustices reasoning has aged to the point of passing any statute of limitations.

Israel has declared a state of emergency in the central city of Lod

after rioting by Israeli Arabs, as conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants intensified.

Cars were set alight and a father and daughter - both Israeli Arabs - died when a rocket from Gaza hit their car.

Palestinian militants fired hundreds of rockets deep into Israel, while Israel carried out heavy air strikes on Gaza.

At least 40 people have died in some of the worst violence in years.

Israel's military says it is targeting militants in Gaza in response to rocket attacks on Jerusalem and other areas.

More than 1,000 rockets have been fired towards central and southern Israel by Palestinian militants since Monday evening, when hostilities suddenly escalated, the Israeli army said.

Israel is using $100 million F-35 fighter jets to bomb civilian targets. They destroy a whole apartment block because one person in there is suspected of being with Hamas. It doesn't seem fair?

You're looking at it the wrong way.
Hamas is launching unguided weapons to kill people at random.
Israel is spending a fortune to as accurately as possible target where the rockets are coming from.

Israel could just use rockets or artillery for 95% less cost but they're trying for less collateral damage.

Even though Israelis pump out plenty of babies, Hamas has their women baby factory their replacements. If they took time off bombing Israel, the Israelis will lose their edge and become complacent. When the United States loses interests in oil as a resource (here's hopin'), the Israelis probably won't have any more protection. That is the time to strike.

The Israel Defense Forces says it has launched a major offensive against the Hamas terror group’s rocket-launching capabilities in the northern Gaza Strip, after hundreds of projectiles were fired from the area at Israeli cities across the border earlier in the day.

IDF spokesperson Hidai Zilberman says some 80 fighter jets, including the

advanced F-35 aircraft, are taking part in the operation,

which began this afternoon.

According to Zilberman, the military aims to destroy dozens of rocket launch tubes that the terror group has buried around the northern Gaza Strip. The spokesman says this would “totally neutralize” the rocket launching capabilities of three Hamas brigades in northern Gaza.

Some of the Hamas rockets have guidance -
they are able to hit particular suburbs in Tel Aviv.
