WFD is slave labour - at least they have some courage - other aussies just take it
Spot
WFD is not slave labour. It is bludge labour. I did WFD in the year 2008. It was only a matter of showing up to an airconditioned room and surfing the net for a number of hours per day. I used the time to do my TAFE course, in between surfing the net. If you spend more time on WFD, you get through your mutual obligations quicker. For the inconvenience of having to get up in the morning, I was given an extra $20 per fortnight. Enough money to cover my fuel to and from the workplace 3 or 4 days a week.
thats not WFD .. you just attended some crap course thats supposed to help you get a job, but is in fact just another way of moving taxpayer dollars into the hands of political donors ... i did one similar years before WFD was ever invented and all they did was give me a phone book and tell me to start in A and phone or write to every business listed. ....
lucky they were there to provide a phone book ehhh
Ahhh....explains quite a bit about you Mr Smith.
In all my life I have only ever looked for work twice.
I have been head hunted several times, a couple I took up the offers.
The longest I have ever been out of work was 3 hours after being put off after finishing my apprenticeship.
Had another three jobs lined up that afternoon.
As an engineer, I was often approached, finally accepting an interesting position which included 4 years of overseas travel.
When the job finally finished I became a contractor, again never really had to look for work, it came to me.
Even retired, I still get asked to train people occasionally.
Its a good way to make a few quid for play money.
I guess you, as a dole bludger, would barely have enough for a beer in your super.
But I have retired 5 years early and will still have plenty come my official retirement age.
Owning my own home and everything I have, also makes it far easier.
One day Mr Smith, you may get to retire....perhaps.
Living in your council flat with your 25 years of repayments on your 10 year old holden.
Have fun.
