I can only hope you are right.

Luckily you can at least take some solace from your record of being wrong.

Oh, I have just realised that I was right about the extra benefits going to aboriginal Australians. But wrong about thinking that these benefits are still going to this day. The Gillard government cancelled those payments back 11 years ago.

If I could tell you what an aboriginal woman told me. They are getting "rent money" from the taxpayers to live on their land. The welfare money they get on top is to stay alive.

Anyone on a low income can apply for rent money or rent assistance, the blacks out in these remote communities and elsewhere where they are provided with public housing pay no more than 1/4 of their dole or pension money for their housing, they can be living in a nice 4 bedroom house and pay no more than $80 to $90 per week whereas the struggling worker who pays for these bludgers are paying upwards of $350 per week.

The welfare bill alone and not including the services that they are provided to these blacks in remote communities is well over 2 billion dollars per year.

A friend of mine told me last week that she pays over $200 per week on rent. I could not understand how she manages to get by, seeing that $400 per fortnight rent is more than 2/3rds her Centrelink benefits.

The stories I had been told over the years have been real pearlers. The "rent money" I refer to that I thought aborigines were still receiving, is in relation to non-Indigenous people renting the right to live in Australia. But, having been informed by representatives of the Gillard government over 10 years ago, that extra money is no longer provided.

I disagree with you. The concept of using ethnicity to demand special treatment is well on its way out -- maybe with some regional exceptions. But, having observed the next generation (those under the age of 20) who identify as indigenous, they seem to be reasonably good people. Have a bit of faith in them.

Perhaps those 10 x 15 metre housing commission homes that are dotted along my parents' street are a good indication of how you can fit up to 4 bedrooms in a home. My parents' neighbours have a 4 bedroom home. Small bathroom, small kitchen, and reasonably small loungeroom. But they have enough bedrooms for 3 children and the parents room. Meanwhile, Mum and Dad had to get bricklayers to build a downstairs room so that my siblings and I could have our own individual rooms.

Stiff cheese to those people that live in rusty shacks. How many times do builders have to go out to places in aboriginal communities to repair the floorboards. Plenty of times that Woorabinda was known for the residents who liked to rip up the carpet and get the wood from the floors so that they can use it for their fires. Amazes me that they do not go after the surrounding trees first.

I wish i had as much faith in them as you do but they are out of control, they leave their kids in bins to sleep or don't know or care where they sleep.

I have had a bit to do with Boongs in my time and i have a fair idea how they think.

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Investigative magistrate Brian.

Do you ever provide evidence for your endless stupid yaws, tut-tuts, eyerolls? No.

Trust me, years ago, we had a real problem with indigenous people roaming the streets at night, picking fights and doing criminal and antisocial activity. I recall in the year 2000 hearing police sirens more often than not wailing around the town. Police pursuits and all kinds of call outs had overwhelmed the local police station. It is probably the reason why the Bolsolver Street police station had a serious upgrade from a country town police station to one that looked like one in a metropolitan city -- The state government thought it wise to equip the police with new facilities and very modern technology that was only available in Brisbane/the Gold Coast.

If you have heard a gunshot fired from 100 metres away, it can be very much an echoing sound that can mean one type of calibre weapon or another. This one night, I heard some commotion from a nearby roadway. Then a big gunshot. Followed by a panicked scream of a little girl. It turned out that the girl's uncle had been shot in the leg. The motivation? Wrong racial background. The police chased these offenders down the road and pulled them up, weapons presentation and everything -- coming close to a police shooting.

Whenever there is trouble among the aboriginal community in CQ, they either make their way into Rockhampton or Gladstone and stir up all sorts of trouble. The last I have heard of these troublemakers was back in the year 2006. All over town, wandering on busy roads, making fights with whoever. But, they always piss off home after about 2 weeks.

And even though there seems to be some sense of further trouble brewing in town as of recent, the general behaviour of indigenous in town is quite good. It is the arseholes from remote communities that are the main offenders.

The remote black community would revert to tribal practices of survival if the white man disappeared.

They are turning into animals in the remote communities, its a sad situation.
