The question is why are so many of those scams choosing you in particular as their target?

The whole problem with these scam emails is that if you want to go after these people in other countries scamming you, you have to bypass various firewalls that the government has set in place. Scamwatch have told me that they only bother with scams that originate inside our borders. For those international scams, you just have to make sure you are aware of what is going on. Then you must make sure you do not make any sort of commitment towards the scam.

Our computer hackers in this country are tied up with legitimate work. Scamwatch would not dedicate the time and resources in pursuing international scam artists. Those who have the time and resources will get caught up making their own life hell, long before they can make the lives of the scammers phucked. You would have to be good at what you do, and work in a team to be able to bring down international scam artists.

You just have to learn to read the signs.... if it's a BS thing - we get the very best voice messages on phone telling us about something we need to know about the bank account etc... please verify ...

Just ignore the whole bloody lot... every time someone tells me my Paypal account has been frozen I wait until I use it again to see if it works...

You just want to hit some of these people for being so stupid falling for these things. But, usually, it is the mentally ill or elderly that fall for these traps. So, it is understandable.
