Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Oh? In terms of the values of most Australians circa 2021, I can't think of a better defence than sick children.

Perhaps you have different values.

The came here illegally, they are illegally here and waving their kids around in front of the cameras should have nothing to do with the decision pending shortly on their future.

6 million bux spent on these invaders.

They did not.  Posting that garbage qualifies you as a very ignorant person.

You overstay your visas ... you're here illegally.

They were refused resident visas on more than one occasion...

They hid in Bilo until authorities caught up with them....

they had children(anchor babies) despite not having any legal status here....

they've been back to Sri Lanka( the place they fled supposedly in fear of their lives) at least twice

What they have done is similar to the African women who present in the UK heavily pregnant, have the child there then make claims to stay because their child is born in the UK.

Weaponising their children...........

I only hope there hasn't been some Munchausen syndrome by proxy involved in the illness of their child.

I say give them a choice.

They can leave with the kid, or leave the kid and leave.
We don't want no more welfare BLUDGING illegal immigrants.

They can't go on welfare if they are illegal.

No, but if they manage to get to stay, it's free house and welfare for life.

That's interesting, Matty. People can't apply for public housing until they've been full residents for over five years. Then it's a waiting list. Then they have to pay 25% of their income.

Centrelink benefits - a five year wait. As for full residency, that usually takes about eight years, after all the applications and bridging visas.

So, eight years for the permanent visa, five to qualify for the Housing list, then (in NSW) at least a 16 year wait for a property to become available.

The Bilolela family should be right to go by 2050, no?

That's BS. the refugees come here and get accommodation straight away, ahead of Aussies sleeping rough and people who have been waiting 20 plus years for affordable accommodation,  cast your mind back to the towers in Melbourne a few months ago, full of non English speaking invaders spreading the virus like wildfire.

The Woke community have spoken and they WILL NOT accept no for an answer, the biola two and their anchor babies MUST STAY, the media are onboard.

Who's Matty?

Rubbish ... at most they get temporary accommodation, 6 to 12 months,  usually provided by NGO's. Then they're on their own.

So it just floats between 6 to 12 months, one day the authorities just come along and boot them out! the woke community would be onto that.

something like that, yes .... the woke community has nothing on the entitled right.

Once you are in housing commission housing its virtually impossible to get the boot.

Try not paying rent.

The ugly is government policy that permits assholes and excludes good people.  I always welcome good people.

Of course, it isn't as simple as that.....  but my point is that the struggle to achieve balance seems to be beyond our governments and their agencies, so they move to the extremes (become extremists by definition)...

My Reverse Boat People policy of putting Undesirables on a return boat to Lower Asia without any support sounds good to me.... vet the incoming Desireables, and throw out the trash in one hit.

We allow the boats in, we vet those onboard, and refit the boats for their return journey..... filled with the scum of the universe that we don't want....... NDIS rorters, Centrelink rorters, drug importers and distributors, serial criminals, terrorists, haters of the Australian Way .... put them all on the return boat and see how they go once landed 'elsewhere'.  No welcome mats there.  Turned loose on the strand of sand to make their own way.... see how foreign authorities handle their predilection to crime.

If they want to be assholes here, they can be assholes somewhere else.... say Indonesia, which has ways of making them be nice....

Incorrect.

According to your view.

If you flee a country with people smugglers in fear of your life you don’t return to that country by plane several times.

You don’t have children when your application for asylum is rejected twice or more because you are deemed not to fit the criteria and your future is then unsure.

Using children born here as a lever to enhance your chances of staying during the ongoing legal & political processes is emotional manipulation/blackmail.

I feel sorry for the children not their country shopping economic illegal migrant parents.

Interesting to see Labor's Richard Marles on ABC News Breakfast today ...

NO DIFFERENCE in off-shore policy to the Coalition!

.
@mjrowland68
: There is no substantial difference in border protection policies between Labor or Liberal?

@RichardMarlesMP
: "That's absolutely correct. We believe in strong borders. Ultimately we arrive at that position as a matter of compassion because loss of life we saw"

rubbish .. that used to be the case but they stopped doing that about 16 yrs ago ... at least in NSW.

And the temporary housing used is set aside as emergency housing, for short term use only, and doesn't fall under the same rules as regular commission houses so it wouldn't matter if they hadn't changed the rules anyway.

All that is irrelevant anyway because NGO's don't use commission housing.

What!

What part did you struggle with?
