We paid for things because dad had little money after looking after mom and the grubberment were as helpful a a box of assholes..

He had little opportunity to save more, he retired at 70 and that was 30 years ago.
He has been dead for 12 years now.
So, we kids looked after him.

Exactly where do I use the term parasite .

Your lack of cerebral function is showing.

You shouldn't mention cerebal function when you obviously have none.

You want unemployed workers to get a job?

EMPLOY THEM.

Then put MAXIMUM and SUSTAINED PRESSURE on the government to get the unemployment rate down to ZERO.

The cashless welfare card idea, belongs in the rubbish bin.   Sad

Indeed it does.

And it can go in the bin with the neoliberal hypocrisy of maintaining perpetual high unemployment where the proponents of "spare capacity" never lead by example.

Welfare is just that, something to live on.

It's not a profession ( well for some it is)
It's not an earned income.

It's meant to give you something to buy the basics and keep well.
Not for smokes
Not for grog
Not for Netflix
It's for food to eat and a roof over your head.

The card is to ensure that this is exactly what it is used for,  not boozing up, smoking or paying for drugs.

The cashless welfare card MUST be for all welfare recipients, no exceptions.

If you want money to spend on what you want
GET A FRIGGING JOB.

You are disgusting. You want old-age disabled ppl to not even get netflix?

Spot

They should have saved more and worked harder.

Or been nicer to their kids

We paid for my parents Foxtell
we bought them anything they needed
I put in a new kitchen, bathroom and did all the repairs on my parents home.

Perhaps people just need better families.
And families are what you make of them.

the ppl that are on old age pensions now grew up with no super when they were working.

Spot

You can't have the Old Age Pension AND a stack of Superannuation.  Wink

No but super wasnt there until recently

Spot

Im 63 and have contributed to super since I started work.

Im currently living off my super and will for many years.
It will run down to a point where I will get the part pension eventually, fair enough, I have paid heaps in taxes all my life.
But there will always be enough to live comfortably, and buy what I want with MY OWN MONEY.

Bring on the cashless card
It will make it even easier for me for when I get the part pension at around 70-75.

The super funds have been around quite a long time, my farther inlaw had a sizable sum in it and his wife is still living comfortably on it.
Compulsory super has been around for quite some time as well.

Basically, anyone living has had the opportunity to save for their comfortable retirement.
Those that have not are not my problem.

People who have never worked, lived on the dole or been wasteful with their money deserve what they get.
Such is life
They should be thankful that they get anything at all.
Because if I had any say in the matter, they would be living under bridges.

And yet you want to be a "parasite" and get a part pension - hope you cant afford netflix

Spot

See that's where you people don't get it.
Parasites take without giving, Symbiotic relationships give and take.
I consider myself symbiotic in this instance.

Over my lifetime of working, I have paid millions in taxes.

I deserve some payback.

But people who have never worked or who do not contribute in any way, seem to think its their right to take from me.
They are the true parasites.

I doubt there are many ppl at all on the pension who have never worked except possibly some "housewives" but that was the way in those days and their work is work too.

And I stand by that statement.

Cashless welfare cards should be for everyone, even politicians and senior public servants who retire (that would stuff them)

Pensioners who retired before super might be the only caveat, but any retirees in the last 20 years have had plenty of time to put away some money for their retirement.

I would be happy to receive a cashless card for welfare when my part pension comes up.

And anything I need or want will come from my super savings.

But if you have never put anything away, never worked, never been anything but a bludger or wasteful p%$ck, its your own fault.

Now go and try to find something worthwhile to do, perhaps attack Anal k for a change.

Or are you afraid of him and his stupidity?

Ah, I see you are up for a great increase in infrastructure spending, building bridges for the homeless and incomeless to live under. A true humanitarian and visionary...

No... No you don't. You see anyone on Social Security as bludgers and there are some, to be sure, but you also include pensioners which more often than not have paid into Govco's coffers for their pensions, the disabled and everyone else who gets a dollar from Govco, well except for people like Gerry Harvey.

Pensioners should be paid massive compensation for the sh1t they've had to put up with from social science diseased governments over the past 4-5 decades - things that have left many of them penniless in retirement and without a brass razoo to call their own.

Start with the men for the feminist bullshit.... then we'll work out the deserving sheilas on a case by case basis...   Cool
