Oh you live around that area…. Lucky ducky you!
Nah.
I live on the Central Coast.
We are up here at the moment looking after an infirm relative, until we can get her into a home.
Poor dears husband died in Feb, she is a diabetic with serious osteoarthritis and had dementia pretty bad.
She needs full time care, forgets what she has taken and when and can either overdose or forget to take her medicine.
When we first came up, she was in a bad way, no one to look after her she was doing the wrong things and was hospitalized.
It took us two months to get her back to health, now we just need a full care home to become available.
It took her over a month to remember that her husband died, every morning she was looking for him.Its really messing up my poor wife, its her mother.
That’s one of the saddest things I’ve heard
Blessings. Glad you are looking after her.
Unfortunately, such is life.
After my mother died, my father mourned her every day until his death.
On his death bed he said he was looking forward to seeing mom again.
Funny thing though.
After we got home from the father in laws funeral and the mother in law was put to bed for the night.
My wife walked up behind me and smacked me across the back of the head.
I said whats that for.
She said, don't you ever do that to me.
My youngest daughter (26) keeps telling us we have to live forever.
Because she said neither of one of us can live without the other and she will not have either of us dying.
Its just not going to happen she says.
But we have had a good life and in 30 or 40 years (I hope) we will probably die.
