Comfortable, shirt and shorts weather

Oh you live around that area…. Lucky ducky you!

Nah.

I live on the Central Coast.

We are up here at the moment looking after an infirm relative, until we can get her into a home.

Poor dears husband died in Feb, she is a diabetic with serious osteoarthritis and had dementia pretty bad.

She needs full time care, forgets what she has taken and when and can either overdose or forget to take her medicine.

When we first came up, she was in a bad way, no one to look after her she was doing the wrong things and was hospitalized.

It took us two months to get her back to health, now we just need a full care home to become available.

It took her over a month to remember that her husband died, every morning she was looking for him.

Its really messing up my poor wife, its her mother.

That’s one of the saddest things I’ve heard  Embarrassed
Blessings. Glad you are looking after her.

Mechanics must have a field day with servicing in the springtime down in Melbourne and Hobart.

Unfortunately, such is life.

After my mother died, my father mourned her every day until his death.
On his death bed he said he was looking forward to seeing mom again.

Funny thing though.
After we got home from the father in laws funeral and the mother in law was put to bed for the night.
My wife walked up behind me and smacked me across the back of the head.

I said whats that for.
She said, don't you ever do that to me.

My youngest daughter (26) keeps telling us we have to live forever.
Because she said neither of one of us can live without the other and she will not have either of us dying.
Its just not going to happen she says.

But we have had a good life and in 30 or 40 years (I hope) we will probably die.

With the rain going on in CQ and the very cold weather down south, I would expect Monday's 11 degrees minimum temperature in Rockhampton to be at least 2 degrees too high. Tuesday's minimum might get down to 5 degrees at least.

Yeah, I know. I figure (other than the next few days) the winter is just about over. It will be spring by August.

OMG Melbourne is so icy last couple days!!

Chill to the bone. Fireplace is barely keeping room from chilling!
Outside is like stepping into a freezer!
This is when it’s a problem with a lot of heaters used that may cause fires mid winter in Melbourne. Hope not. It’s them little electric fan heaters some use in bedrooms that could be problematic.

I was not ready for 10 degrees this morning. 14 when I went to bed.

Melbourne has my pity. It does not look like the place is freezing cold. But the rain would make it worse being that the temperatures have gotten down to 2 degrees.

Absolutely pissed down in Perth yesterday afternoon.

Had water lapping at my front and back doors.

Haven't seen flash flooding like that for quite some time.

I'll have to clean up all the fallen branches and damage from the storm today.

Not complaining though - love this weather.

45 mm is a pretty decent rainfall for 24 hours. The other day, we (Rockhampton) had 25 mm of rain and I thought that was reasonable for our dry season.

The majority of the 45mm we had on sunday came down in just one hour, between 2 and 3 pm.

I was getting rather nervous seeing the water rapidly rising and approaching my doors.

Thankfully it stopped about 2mm from the bottom of each door - it was close.

Most of the water drained away by about 4pm, so all good now, but it certainly was a decent downpour.

You got 20 mm of rain in 2 hours in Perth. Which part of Perth are you from?

Right near the Perth CBD - Victoria Park.

I reckon we got 30mm in just one hour.
