Meh?

Drink driving is a factor in about one in every seven crashes in NSW where someone loses their life.

Horseshit.  Prove that.

It was never asserted on behalf of the prick or even by himself.  All that was asserted was that he threw it out of temper, that it was not aimed at here, but did hit her.

Hand on your heart, you have never in your life driven over .05%.

I won't believe you if you say you haven't.

There but for the grace of the gods .... and all that.

You dont realise it but thats actually a very telling comment.

Oh no, i realise it entirely. I don;t drink at all anymore and ii certainly never drank while i drove for the absolute majority of my adult life  ... but there were a few times when i was kid when i drove over the limit.

Crucify me.

I think if you're trying to claim that at no time in your driving career have you driven over the limit, you're a liar. Or else you don't drink at all.

.05 is incredibly easy to reach.

A hell of a lot easier to identify with than hurling a wooden block at your wife's head. I've never felt like doing that to another human in my life. Especially not one i was more physically powerful than.
yep, very telling.

Well - that's not a bad effort.

Eleven pages in this thread and about two of 'em (if that) are actually on-topic.

As for the rest - if it's not off-topic and/or irrelevant, it's people slagging and sniping at each-other.

As I said - not a bad effort.

You should all feel very proud.

And i repeat, .05 is very easy to reach. It is not equatable with beating your wife.

A
A. No one mentioned .05, thats low range  drunk driving.
B. Driving whilst drunk makes the person a potential mass murderer, and there are quite a number of instances where people have driven drunk and killed a number of people.
Quote:
A drunk driver has been jailed for hitting and killing four children as they walked to get ice cream in Sydney's north-west.
Samuel Davidson was drunk and travelling 133km/h in a 50km/h zone when he ploughed into the group of seven children as they were walking and riding bikes on the footpath in Oatlands last year.

C. I would suggest that your wife getting a superficial cut on the forehead is less serious than a family being wiped out by a criminal drunk driver.
The fact that you seek to mitigate this type of criminal behaviour is very telling, so is the fact you yourself have indulged in it.

That's what happens when Greg joins a thread. See second post in the thread by the convicted drink driver.

Well i was certainly talking about low range drink driving. And i reconfirm, low rnge drink driving is something i think most drivers have done sometime in their driving career.

And i think that is worlds apart from propelling objects at people's heads with the intent to do injury.

I'm not saying drink driving isn't a terrible thing, i'm just saying .05 is easy to reach. And, if we're being honest, more than a few of us have reached it and driven in our careers.

What I must say about this - is that given this is about drinking coffee without filtering it through your face mask first - we are a long way from Damascus at the moment...

This seems a drop in the bucket compared to what I watched yesterday - sheila with kid walks straight into supermarket without signing in, walks around every aisle with mask pulled down on chin for her own comfort - and not a word spoken.

Some people are just plain stupid.  No wonder this bug is getting more and more every day.
