The cops were being Nazis.

They need to arrest some real criminals
not a guy drinking a coffee.

No....they arrested a pest, a smart arse who likely set the whole thing up so it could go on that wankers YouTube thing.  Smacks of deliberate crab baiting.

He got what he well deserved, and was seeking, after the Cops gave him plenty of opportunities to comply with the Law.

The cops were the only one causing him to be less than 1.5

Face masks must be worn in public when you cannot maintain a physical distance of 1.5m.

Because Incident Controller Acting Commander Sachin Sharma directed that all NT citizens must wear a mask in public.

The penalty for failing to abide by the Chief Health Officer Directions issued under section 56 of the Public and Environment Health Act 2011 is $5056 for an individual and $25,280 for a business.

That's why.

This is the LATEST info.

Face masks
Face masks must be worn in public when you cannot maintain a physical distance of 1.5m.

Wear a mask at places like the supermarket, shopping centre, the hairdresser and beauty salons.  Wear a mask when out for dinner but it can be removed when seated and eating and drinking.

He was in public, not eating or drinking, within 1.5 mtrs of another person.

Nek minnit!

$5,056 fine.

That's how the law works.

Look it up on Tik Tok - see for yourself   Grin

185 total cases with 177 recovered and no deaths in NT since January 2020.

That bloke with his cup coffee was in a very sparse looking street, no crowds, no shoppers… no traffic…. And him being 1.5 metres distance from anyone would be a cinch…. I didn’t see a problem. Only people nearby encroaching upon him were them police. He may have his mask in his pocket as my hubby does when we go out.
Mine is in my handbag.

So I don’t see what the problem is/was.

And surely it’s not about whether his cup was half empty or half full?

He may well have but very odd that he did not show the mask to the Cops, in that case.  Instead, he continued on his well prepared civil rights rant....and unsurprisingly, came second.

Makes no difference if they were police officers, school teachers, Tik Tok viewers, car salesman, or hairdressers.

Once they got within 1.5mtrs of him he was required to put on a mask.

He didn't, therefore he was fined.

I only wish the fine was double.

He broke the law, and now he'll pay.

Unless the convicted wife-basher's lawyers can get him off.

Booby say his lawyers are "good".

But, it they are so good, how come the fake journalist ended up being convicted of wife-bashing?

That's something Bobby can't seem to answer.

It was not an open cup.  It had the usual lid on it which you can drink through.

There is nothing in the video showing him drinking the thing, just holding it.  There is nothing in the video to suggest he had a mask to lift and put back between sips.

Show the legislation which requires that.

That’s like a set up …. The police… doing that on purpose, not keeping their distance when they had plenty space around them to do so.
