In this case though, the cops gave him ample opportunity to apply the breaks and bring the speed back down to 60.

Despite being asked nicely, and given the time to reduce the car's speed in order to avoid a fine, the driver continued to drive at 65.

He only has himself to blame.

And that's correct - I've just come from watching the video and researching
the rules which were in place at the time of the 'offense', and since.

Here's the 'gen' - IF the 'offense' occurred BEFORE 1pm that day, it
MAY have been possible to ping him for breaking lockdown.

That he WASN'T pinged for this suggests that EITHER he wasn't
breaking lockdown, or the 'offense' occurred AFTER 1pm.

But in EITHER case, he did not breach the mask rules UNLESS he
was within 1.5m of someone else. If there was no-one within 1.5m
he was definitely within his rights to remove the mask to drink the coffee.

Which there clearly was NOT - until the filth began stalking and harrass-
ing him.

A total asshole COULD claim (and would maybe be technically correct) that
once the filth DID come within 1.5m he should have put the coffee down
and donned the mask.

But other than that tenuous technicality, he definitely DID NOT breach
any rules, and I doubt the charge would stand up in court should he elect
to fight it.
