“Completely offensive to run an ad like this when Australians in this age group are still waiting for their bloody vaccinations,” protested 10 News First’s National Affairs Editor Hugh Riminton, while Guardian Australia’s Associate News Editor Josephine Tovey called the ad an “insult.”

This ad is a load of shyte.

The actor is young, lean and when she gets Covid, going by the vast majority of people in her demographic be will asymptomatic.

They should have had either a fatyboombah or an oldy gasping for breath.

Actually the best ad would be to have an old unvaccinated person in their 80s or 90s, and they could describe how it was passed on to them by their unvaccinated children.

Either the Drunk Driver or even Sad Kangaroo who are both unvaccinated would be perfict for the role.

Opps, I was to selfish/complacent to get a vaccine and now I've killed Pops.

But will ScoMo apologise to all people of her age
who cannot get a Covid vax?

Yeah, maybe. Who cares?

I would never step in to defend Scotty, but I don't really see what all the fuss is about here.

I haven't seen the ad, but surely it just shows that young people can get the virus too and that all those older people who are eligible should get vaccinated to reduce the risk of under 40s getting sick.

It's generating public debate, so you'd have to say the ad is therefore successful.
