The study authors also reported that one dose provided 100% protection against hospitalization

Good article Gordy - you're the man.

Millions of people worldwide have had one shot of two-dose COVID-19 vaccines.
Pfizer and Moderna’s vaccines are likely 80% effective against symptomatic COVID-19 after one dose.
A single AstraZeneca shot is probably at least 70% effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19.

Vaccinated people can still catch it & spread it

So vaccinated people are still too scared to venture out then - is that it?

Let's say a vaccinated person not wearing a mask, believing he/she was safe, was stopped by a cop in the street. What would happen, what would the cop say or do?

Unfortunately, as I and a few others have said before - unless every single person in NSW is tested every single day then the cases are probably at least 10 times higher than the 'official' numbers, maybe even 100 times.

And, the majority of them wouldn't bother getting tested as they probably have few or no symptoms or they just think they have something like a cold or the flu. And, I'm also sure most of them wouldn't want to be put into quarantine if they tested positive as well.

This better not disrupt my trip down south.

Forget your trip down south.
It's totally out of control in Sydney and
it will move to a place near you soon.

There is already covid cases in Qld with people still moving about after the State of Origin. I would not be surprised that we have covid restrictions in place in southeast Qld for another 2 weeks. Hopefully, southern Qld won't be affected.

So 90% of people don't even know they have Covid?

I read in UK, there has been zero covid deaths of people who've had one shot.

Quite possibly.

Because, as has also been mentioned here a few times in the past - if no-one got tested for Covid from today onwards there would be zero cases.

Unless some people with Covid were sick enough to have to go to hospital then they would know they had it for sure.

We've seen it with all the people who won't social distance or wear masks, etc. These same people won't bother getting tested for Covid if they believe they only have a common cold or the flu. Especially, as I've said, when they know they would have to spend at least 14 days in quarantine if they tested positive for Covid.

Most oldies have had at least one shot which prevents serious illness.

Shouldn't we open up?

I believe you're well covered 2 weeks after the first shot. You need to hide under the bed for another week!!

BTW, my 2nd Pizzer shot was cancelled because I had a tummy virus, so rescheduled for next week.
