That's aqua's M.O. - his story sometimes changes mid-sentence.

I'm also impressed by his definition of minimal.

The fine people of Sweden have learnt how to live with it and have minimal deaths

Wonder what his definition of minimal deaths will be for Australia?

Hard to say, but one thing we know for sure - the figure will change on a regular basis.

Sydney boaties fined after lying on declarations to get into Queensland to watch rugby test match

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-07-13/sydney-boaties-fined-over-superyacht-covi...

Quote:
Four men from Sydney have been fined after lying on their border declarations to get into Queensland via a superyacht that costs up to $18,000 a day to hire.

Authorities today said they had travelled to the state from locked down Sydney so that they could watch the rugby test match between the Wallabies and France last week.

The men arrived at Southport marina on the Gold Coast on July 7 via the 34-metre superyacht, Dreamtime, before then travelling to Brisbane to watch the game at Lang Park.

No wonder we keep getting Covid outbreaks.

Quote:
Queensland Police and Maritime Safety Queensland found the men days later and placed them into hotel quarantine.

They were each fined $4,000 for lying on their declaration passes.

Maybe that should be increased to at least $40,000 (plus jail time) since they could afford to hire a "superyacht" for $18,000 a day but I'm betting even that wouldn't deter some of these idiots.

I love watching the motormouths, they can spew out a hundred words at a time without taking a breath

Gladys Longname does it better than anyone else, just listen to her go!

NSW records 89 COVID-19 infections,
second death as new case found in Goulburn

The number of new daily COVID-19 cases in NSW has decreased for the first time in a week, but a man in his 70s has died and the virus has spread to the state's regions.
Key points:

A COVID-19 case has been detected in Goulburn which is 200 kilometres from Sydney
From tomorrow anyone from Greater Sydney working in the regions must get tested weekly
Anyone from Fairfield who has to work in other local government areas must be tested every three days

There were 89 new locally acquired infections detected in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday and 21 of those have been active in the community.

While today's total number was less than the 112 recorded yesterday, Premier Gladys Berejiklian warned, "one day is not a trend".

"In the next few days we want to see those numbers go in the same direction," she said.

She said she hoped to make an announcement about the future of the lockdown "today or Thursday".

"We will, as a government, take the health experts' advice on what we announce as the next stage of the lockdown beyond Friday," she said.

The Premier's key message was still around protecting loved ones, as more than three quarters of the new cases were family members of positive cases.

well well,

skippy caught lying again

SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Health (MOH) will no longer disclose details of each new Covid-19 case detected in the community as the country moves towards a new phase of battling the pandemic, it said in a statement on Tuesday (June 29).

Information on individuals' ages and occupations, as well as the places they visited and the dates on which they tested positive, will not be provided.

skippy "spoke to a friend" Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

i provide an article.

people can judge for themselves your lies  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/moh-to-stop-giving-details-of-covi...

Actually, they are still reporting.  Case numbers are being reported and contract tracing/venue alerts and cleaning are still the norm.  My family were contacted as part of contract tracing as they were in a venue with an exposure, but the household is fully vaccinated besides the young kids so they are worried.  They have been asked to self isolate for 3 days while they all get tested each day.

The MOH plan is to move to this sort of model that you've mentioned once they've reached about 2 thirds of their population being fully vaccinated which they're on track for some time in August.

To supplement that, they want to introduce things like 2-minute breathalyzer style testing to allow them to reopen their borders without restrictions plus a slew of other measures that you conveniently failed to mention.

They will have the percentage of their population and migrant workers vaccinated that will allow them to do this.

I really like their plan and once we reach the same level of vaccinations I hope we can adopt a similar approach.

But you've got to stop twisting reality to suit your dimwitted opinions.

You want to be in the position Singapore is preparing for without doing the work to get there.  You should start advocating we all get vaccinated rather than pretending to be tough because you want to return to normal and do away with lockdowns and other mitigation efforts today, unprepared because you're such a big strong man who can live with, and watch others die from, the virus.

News flash poo for brains, we all want to return to normal...

There is a right and wrong way to do it.

We've been left down on vaccines, we've been let down on quarantine.

I've been helping my elderly neighbour who is caring for her husband in palliative care at home, isolated from the world because their children are stuck overseas and still can't come home.

On our mini lockdown (SE QLD), I noticed when taking her bin in from the street her letterbox was overflowing and I feared the worst.  I grabbed my mask and knocked on the door.  Turns out she had chosen, for the 3 day lock down, not to go outside go outside to check the mail and thankfully hadn't fallen or anything, but during the lockdown the click and collect from woolies had stopped taking new orders and her exception for that still had a nearly 2 week wait and she was out of supplies.

I insisted that she give me a list and got what she needed for her and her husband but this is the sort of thing her children want to be able to do.

I've spoken to her and them and she promises she'll call if ever she needs anything or something like that happens again, but I'm also worried about helping because I'm still not even had my first jab.

I went again today to the Gold Coast hospital in my lunch break to attempt to get the Pfizer jab and the same staff was on shift and told me the same thing she did yesterday and told me not to try again this week.

What's worse is my neighbour refuses to leave her husband's side so she's not been out to get vaccinated yet.  With the permission of her and he daughter, I've been talking with her GP and since she'll be taking AZ, they are trying to organise home visits to get it done.  I'll feel better if I have to drop any supplies off, even if leaving them outside if she's vaccinated, better still when I am, but I really feel for her and the situation she's in.

The kids also want to get home to see their father, but at least he's not a vegetable or anything, he is able to talk and video chat, but he's bedridden in a rented hospital bed in the lounge room and his wife, nearly 80 herself, is sleep on the floor next to him on an air mattress so she can be close to him.

And that's the other instance we've been let down, quarantine and allowing returning Australians to come home.

It's heartbreaking but at the same time, she doesn't want anyone else being negatively impacted because of their situation, which is why she had until now, refused to accept any help other than taking her bins out on bin day and bringing them back in.

At least now she'll let me get any supplies that they can't get delivered and walk her dog when I take mine out and do what we're calling "window checks" when I do.

I'm sure this is a familiar story for many.

But like everyone else, I want an end to this.  But we're just not at the point where we can open up like Singapore is planning, despite you pretending that all it takes is a big tough guy to make the decision.

I like this little exchange on Gladys Berejiklian's Twitter account.

Like Aussie_Steven I was also wondering where those who were making all that noise about the temporary ban on flights from India have disappeared to since the start of this Sydney outbreak.

I doubt they're all "getting the jab" but they're probably 'in hiding' for the time being. A very wise move, in my opinion.

Not at all bobby.

As I have said from day 1

This is a highly infectious respiratory virus
Many many people are going to catch it
Most of us will be fine
But we can help by taking individual responsibility
And getting vaccinated

Once we all do that
We need two except that this virus will be with us forever
And some people will die from it

But as all farmers realise
Death is inevitable
Death is natural
You do what you can but you just accept it
And you don't spend your entire life worrying about it

And what you definitely don't do is allow cowardly adults
To transfer their own personal fears
On to the younger generation

The younger generation are now the victims of catastrophic thinking about climate
About war with China
About running out of food and fuel
And now we are showing them ads of young people suffocating in hospital

Disgraceful stuff

Could you imagine our grandparents in 1942
Running ads on television terrifying children about the imminent arrival of the Japanese army
Your job as an adult is to take that anxiety on board
Deal with it on a personal level

And never ever ever ever ever pass it on to vulnerable young people
That is the exact opposite of what is happening at the moment

Aqua,
your story has changed,
didn't you talk once about taking your vitamins and getting fresh air
and that was all you needed to fight the virus off?
His stories and claims are consistent, they are consistently all 100 percent absolute bullsh1t.

Aqua is talking about life in the bush and on farms. I understand what he's saying, I had to make adjustments to my thinking when I moved to the bush. You can't get around scared of snakes or jump out of your wits when you see a Goanna the size of a small crocodile. You can't panic when flooding creeks isolate you for days as they do where I live. Panicking of any sort will only make you look stupid in the eyes of other folk

A guy here had a fall in his yard not long ago, he was by himself and some distance from his phone. He couldn't move, but no embarrassment, he had the good sense to keep crying "Help" until someone up the road heard him, that was me, and another guy from further up. The guy didn't panic, he did the only thing he could do, sing out "Help"

It's different in the bush, you really do have to acquire a certain toughness for any situation, and not complain, and especially not be a spoiled motormouth brat
