No news just yet, Bobby.

However, The (Un)Australian believes the lockdown is likely to be extended for 4 weeks.

Oh, I call it The (Un)Australian because, while other news outlets have allowed readers to read normally paywalled articles about Covid "in the public interest" this mob still insist on wanting people to pay for everything.

Not surprising really since it is a right wing 'rag' owned by News Corp.  Roll Eyes

New restrictions as NSW records 44 new locally acquired COVID-19 infections

NSW recorded 44 locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday.

The source of nine of these remains under investigation.

Twenty-nine of the new cases were either fully or partially in the community while infectious.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian stressed the importance of strict lockdown measures to avoid deaths.

"This is the opposite of where we need or want the numbers to trend," she said.

"Do not think that the NSW Government thinks we can live with this when our rate of vaccination is only at 9 per cent."

Ms Berejiklian said several new social distancing restrictions will be introduced to combat the state’s COVID-19 outbreak.

From 5:00pm today in Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shoalhaven:

People will be able to exercise only in groups of two (or with their households)
People may not exercise more than 10km from their homes

From Sunday, the number of mourners at funerals will be capped at 10.

Chief health officer Kerry Chant said this outbreak is now at it's "challenging" point.

"I know that this has been a long journey in the fight against COVID but we cannot stumble over this hurdle," she said.

"This is an incredibly challenging time and I want to stress I am incredibly concerned. I need all members of the community to
follow the public health advice."

The cops are targeting the western Sydney region where less than half of them speak english and are spreading the disease  like wildfire, a bit like the towers in Melbourne where the refugees did the same.

The joy of multiculturalism strikes again.

NSW is buggered -
Gladys is on TV and is hysterical  talking of 1000s of people dying -
urging people to get their vaxes.

food for thought

Israel has administered at least 10,882,624 doses of COVID vaccines so far. Assuming every person needs 2 doses, that’s enough to have vaccinated about 60.1% of the country’s population.

and

COVID-19 infections are increasing in Israel, with 395 new infections reported on average each day.

so 60 % is ineffective.

by my calculations NSW now faces a choice.

go the swedish route and tell people to man up and take some god dammed responsibility for themselves

or

stay in lockdown til christmas

erradication of the delta variant would now seem impossible.

All those advocating to let it rip or refusing measures like wearing masks should be refused treatment.

End of story.

Since the lockdown started, all the eastern beaches, parks, coast walks, harbour walks etc etc have been off the hook busy and guess what. Hardly any community transmission. All the new cases are in a totally different area, south west. Why?
