Speaking of the spread of COVID-19 ...

An interesting point was made about the aerosol aspect of the virus spread on News Breakfast this morning.

The guy mentioned that it is similar to cigarette smoke - COVID can't be smelt like smoke, but if you think about how far off you can smell cigarette smoke - that is how far this virus can spread - so ... wear a mask!!!

What do we do if we can smell cigarette smoke with the masks on like I (and every other person I've spoken to in the past few weeks) can? Shocked

1. Stop smoking.
2. Hope the mask catches the COVID-19 particles.

Wink

NSW records 105 COVID-19 infections

woman in her 90s dies.

...

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has defended Sydney's harder lockdown after the state recorded 105 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and another fatality.
Key points:

The Premier has indicated she may tweak restrictions further if required
A number of paramedics and a nurse are in isolation after contracting COVID-19
Families in the three LGAs have been urged to stay home during the Eid festival on Tuesday

Today's case numbers are among the third highest recorded since this Delta outbreak began on June 16.

It's like a dog chasing its tail -  just let the virus rip -
since when did anyone agree to endless lockdowns?

And also get whiffs of perfume or after shaves others are wearing.

But the point it… you don’t get the full whack of it as it’s filtered somewhat.
The social distancing I like very much… you see … it’s au naturale for moiye, because I’m a country gal, and it’s normal for us to have space apart unlike them city folk…. all crowded together and congested. It’s them that need to learn keeping distant!

We didn't consent to endless lockdowns -
it's a tyranny worse than the virus.

Well ... I suppose if the world just let it rip, that would solve the over-population problem fairly quickly.  Grin

I think it's already ripped through the community.
1000s of lines of the virus ended with no one getting symptoms.
We haven't done mass anti-body tests so we wouldn't know.

And if we were heartless we could say it would make the remaining popuation more efficient with less old, fat, ill health people.

Police to monitor all 'major arterial roads out of Sydney' in compliance crackdown

We don't want them here.

Dear Karnal,
You know that the Delta variant came from India?
Tinted people bred this mutant strain and brought it here.

True, but irresponsible limo passengers in the Eastern suburbs spread it through the city, getting their hair done in Double Bay and dining out in Bondi, infecting the rest of us.

We told you this was going to happen. These people will make three phone calls to get a Pfizer vaccine, but they won't even bother to get their chauffers done.

You?

Just a handful of cases here now. Why?

Is it now? So why did you people spread it to us in the first place?

What do you have to say for yourself here?
