We also wouldn't have had to deal with the Delta variant (or any other variant) if Australia hadn't allowed it to get into the country in the first place by closing the borders properly last year instead of the Clayton's border closure we've had.

All fines should be refunded and the politicians fined instead

Yeah right  Roll Eyes they get a pay rise instead…. The audacity of that during people’s trials of hardship during all this! Totally wrong in many ways.
Except for one decent politician whom is mentioned in the article below… he is donating his pay rise to charities.

Governments?
I say that they're all dimwits.
They are creating panic and all  feeding off each others hysteria.
I am pissed off at the Governors of each state and our Governor General.
They are all missing in action - not one of them has said a word.
We need protection from despots and tyranny -
this is a democracy not a dictatorship like North Korea -
but I wonder sometimes.

bobby,  they will never ever ever ever get this out of western sydney.

76 % of people do not speak english at home
most live in big families in unit blocks.
this thing is airborne.

gladys would have to weld the doors shut for 6 weeks to get this to work
she cant.

we have to face our destiny.

the tide cannot be held back

76 % of people do not speak english at home

That figure seems specific, got a stat?

1. When someone asks for a stat, you don't just reverse the number.
2. When someone asks for a stat, you produce a reference which shows this
3. There is a difference between do not speak english at home and english at home as their primary language

Agreed.

"Wattsy" isn't too happy either. He's not holding back with his thoughts, that's for sure. Shocked

I've joined his 2 tweets together and the editing (asterisks) was done by me.

Within south west Sydney, Fairfield LGA has the highest proportion of residents speaking a language other than English at home (71%),

In Cabramatta, 83.0% of people spoke a language other than English at home in 2016.

Cabramatta's language statistics show the proportion of the population who speak a language at home other than English. They indicate how culturally diverse a population is and the degree to which different ethnic groups and nationalities are retaining their language.

Was that hard?

Plus that doesn't mean no English skills whatsoever. It just means at home they speak their native language. My parents lived in Tonga for 2 years, they could speak Tongan, but didn't speak Tongan at home.

This is the sort of thing Scoot does.  You're just lucky he didn't flat out call you a liar or some such insult to cover for his cherry-picking or misrepresentations, or ignorance.

That's misleading

It's this 30.4% that causes problems ....

Speaks another language, and English well or very well      96,613      68.7      81.1
Speaks another language, and English not well or not at all      42,734      30.4

We don't know the ethnic background of that 30%. I would argue your classic Westie/Bogan for instance can not speak English well.

Sydney is doomed.

All this over a handful of cases.
We were Covid free until far king Scummo allowed
10's of 1000s of people to enter Australia who brought Covid with them.

The Governor General must do his job.
Sack them and jail them and put in administrators.
