I'm all for the right person for the job, but if Gladys was a man, or hell, a Labor Party member, she'd have been out for her corruption long ago.

But instead, they used her womanhood as a weakness that was exploited by a corrupt man simply because she was trying to find love therefore her corruption was not her fault.

It's sickening.

She can't be championed as a feminist after doing this.

But at the end of the day, hypocrisy is the foundation of the Liberal Party and they'll do anything to stay in power, which she's done.

Same for the Nats with their current leader, Bruz.

Another corrupt piece of poo, but those calling him out about it are wacist.  Again, exploiting identify politics to avoid accountability for their actions.

One would think they're lefties given what we hear in the culture wars, but again, hypocrisy is their foundation.

On one hand, they and their supporters complain about woke culture etc, on the other, they exploit it to rip off the people including their supporters who are too stupid to see it.

Screw them both.

And now they can add letting lobby dollars from the Business leaders influence their decision on COVID lockdown which will in the end hurt everyone more.

Good job guys.

Man, woman or Italian plumber powered by spaghetti, they're scum.

Gladys never did a decent job of anything in her life..... never held a job... just a place in the machinery of party politics.... she and her fellow feminist adherents have botched this situation all the way back to the Corona Princess... and never yet have they accepted responsibility, but are still in their jobs and daily pontificating to the peasants about what to do when they themselves demonstrably haven't done it so far......

We still need her to go on trial for the Ruby Princess.

I honestly don't know enough about it and can't speak to Gladys ever referring to herself as a feminist but i do know this ... if she's been handed a free pass because she's a woman and a feminist, she's the first woman in Australian politics to have done so.

Ever.

So excuse me while my inclination is to refute you I think that was a low blow blow on your part, Kanga.

NSW recorded 110 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

Up again, Gladys. Doesn't look too good for ending the lockdown anytime in the foreseeable future.

Well crap.

You know I never thought to look at it that way.  That's for checking me on that.

Still corrupt, but that's got nothing to do with it.

Might keep my privileged white male opinions to myself because clearly (and I'm trying to be genuine here no matter how sarcastic it might sound) I can't put myself in woman in her positions shoes as much as I try.

NSW’s COVID-19 crisis has deteriorated with more than 100 new cases recorded, several regional areas locked down and the number of people infectious in the community reaching a new high.
Key points:

A total of 43 cases were active in the community while infectious
Gladys Berejiklian said this was because people don't always have symptoms of COVID-19
There are now 106 people being treated for COVID-19 in hospital with 23 in intensive care

There are now 106 people being treated for COVID-19 in hospital and of those 23 are in intensive care and on ventilators.

Yes it's in Orange, Blayney, Molong and Bathurst now. The Authorities failed to do what they said they'd do - "KEEP SYDNEY FOLK OUT OF RURAL NSW" - just goes to show they can't be trusted, and rural folk are angry

Refund all the fines, sack the politicians and defund the Police. What a terrible mess they're making of it. NSW was free of Covid then they let it back in, and they're not the least bit remorseful of their traitorous action

There's got to be a sinister reason

it is neither a conspiracy nor a cock up.

it is the delta variant which WILL NOT be erradicated.

the aim of lockdowns is to erradicate the virus, is it not?
if it is just to suppress , then 15 minutes after you stop, you are back to square 1.

australia will not erradicate this.

we will learn to live with it.

lockdowns are just a token gesture and in a month, when there is still community spread the population will have to accept the futility and stupidity of continuing

Lockdowns aren't about eradicating the spread. They are about minimising the spread between susceptible individuals thus reducing potential burden on health care system.
