W.A. is doing a good job, you better hope it continues because they are carrying the whole country on their back at the moment.

no, the aim of lockdowns is to contain the virus

Dirty Dan wasn't happy till he eradicated the virus -
we had no cases for many months - a few times -
but of course it came back from overseas travelers.
Now - we're into Dan's endless cycles of lockdowns.

Gladys will likely do the same as Dan.

Gladys will do no such thing. The virus will not die down in NSW precisely because Gladys only believes in half measures. She hasn't the brains to stop the virus. I suspect NSW will still be trying to stop this outbreak well beyond Oct.

In Sydney perhaps, but rural NSW should be right by the end of this month, if no more city folk travel out of the greater Sydney area

no bias,  freight is still travelling to rural areas.

my wife got a treadmill delivered during the lockdown last year.

the guy drove it up from sydney (which was in lockdown), straight across the border, spent 2 hours in our home setting it up.

erradication from any part of OZ is now impossible

Fair enough

It must be just tourists, campers and sightseers they're trying to prevent from leaving Sydney. But it was a truckie who let it loose out here. So someone stuffed up, didn't check him before he came out possibly

The cops said they were going to surround Sydney like Julius Caesar and his Legions, but it still wasn't adequate apparently. They'd better try harder, because there'll be no stopping the virus if it spreads right through NSW

as an example bias, i live in qld but as a primary producer, i can drive into NSW or Victoria any time i like to buy some hay or sell a horse.  totally unrestricted.

me and 10's of 10,000's like me.

there will be some assymptomatic but infectious truck driver who dumps the delta virus, everywhere from darwin to hobart.

this one is way too infectious.

So you are advocating for death.

You claim ~70,000 after everyone who wants a vaccination has one, and even then you're using a death rate that has been calculated during times of mitigation efforts and not letting it rip as you so desire.

That means the count, if we "give it up" today, would be vastly higher since we don't have a 70% vaccination rate.

The people of the country aren't simply horses you can just kill if something is wrong with them and replace them with another.  Although I think it's clear you care about horses far more than people so you'd actually do better than that...

Human beings were made for confronting problems and having adventures

They are not designed to flourish in an environment where safety and pleasuring themselves are the only concerns

Your methodology is making people weak and mentally ill

LoL you're just scared of getting covids because you were too complacent to get your vaccine.

Good things about lockdown, work is off the hook busy and I can whip around with hardly any traffic and not pay for parking.

From my POV life is easier in lockdown than normal. My work is super busy, I've got a few people doing my excess this week, no traffic, no parking fees, beach is open....all good.
