Good things about lockdown, work is off the hook busy and I can whip around with hardly any traffic and not pay for parking.

Now now, Gordon. Human beings were made for confronting problems and having adventures.

They are not designed to flourish in an environment where safety and pleasuring themselves are the only concerns.

Gladys has proven to be an abject failure and she will be unable to halt this latest knockdown. The sooner they replace her with someone more competent the better for everyone

no, the aim of lockdowns is to contain the virus

Dirty Dan wasn't happy till he eradicated the virus -
we had no cases for many months - a few times -
but of course it came back from overseas travelers.
Now - we're into Dan's endless cycles of lockdowns.

Gladys will likely do the same as Dan.

Gladys will do no such thing. The virus will not die down in NSW precisely because Gladys only believes in half measures. She hasn't the brains to stop the virus. I suspect NSW will still be trying to stop this outbreak well beyond Oct.

In Sydney perhaps, but rural NSW should be right by the end of this month, if no more city folk travel out of the greater Sydney area

no bias,  freight is still travelling to rural areas.

my wife got a treadmill delivered during the lockdown last year.

the guy drove it up from sydney (which was in lockdown), straight across the border, spent 2 hours in our home setting it up.

erradication from any part of OZ is now impossible

Fair enough

It must be just tourists, campers and sightseers they're trying to prevent from leaving Sydney. But it was a truckie who let it loose out here. So someone stuffed up, didn't check him before he came out possibly

The cops said they were going to surround Sydney like Julius Caesar and his Legions, but it still wasn't adequate apparently. They'd better try harder, because there'll be no stopping the virus if it spreads right through NSW

as an example bias, i live in qld but as a primary producer, i can drive into NSW or Victoria any time i like to buy some hay or sell a horse.  totally unrestricted.

me and 10's of 10,000's like me.

there will be some assymptomatic but infectious truck driver who dumps the delta virus, everywhere from darwin to hobart.

this one is way too infectious.

time to give it up boys

So you are advocating for death.

You claim ~70,000 after everyone who wants a vaccination has one, and even then you're using a death rate that has been calculated during times of mitigation efforts and not letting it rip as you so desire.

That means the count, if we "give it up" today, would be vastly higher since we don't have a 70% vaccination rate.

The people of the country aren't simply horses you can just kill if something is wrong with them and replace them with another.  Although I think it's clear you care about horses far more than people so you'd actually do better than that...

LoL you're just scared of getting covids because you were too complacent to get your vaccine.

Gordo, I hope you step on a lego and your phone charge only works from a strange angle.

TGA links deaths of 44yo Tasmanian man and 48yo Victorian woman to AstraZeneca vaccine

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has been notified of two more fatal cases of the rare blood clotting disorder related to AstraZeneca.
Key points:

These are the fifth and sixth deaths linked to the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine from 6.1 million doses, according to the TGA
Both deaths were confirmed cases of the clotting disorder thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS)
Authorities say anyone who has received the vaccine should seek immediate medical attention if they experience symptoms, including severe or persistent headaches, blurred vision and confusion or seizures

One is a 44-year-old man from Tasmania, and the other a 48-year-old woman from Victoria, reported as a probable thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) case last week.

Tasmanian State Health Commander Kathrine Morgan-Wicks said the man was a confirmed case of TTS.

He was vaccinated in a Tasmanian state vaccination clinic.

Ms Morgan-Wicks said TTS was a rare but serious condition.

"TTS is thought to occur due to an immune response to the AstraZeneca vaccine and is different to other conditions," she said.

I've got those two covered (see photos) Grin Seriously dude, hustle for a vaccine.
I was speaking to a 25 year old guy today, he was given a weeks wait for Pz or next day for Az, so he's going for Az.

She's done alright. It's not her fault we got Delta.

That's on aspirational limo passengers from Gordon's side of town.

They spread covid, then get online and blame the tradies and essential workers from the working suburbs.

They brag about how much cash they're making and how quiet the streets are during lockdown. They blame the Curry-Shitters, the Semen-Spreaders, the tinted races - everyone other than the Country-Shopping effluents that started this outbreak.

We grew here, they flew here. Gladys knows the score. She grew up in South-Western Sydney. Gladys might be a second-generation Eastern-European Young Lib, but she's peasant stock. She toiled to get to Macquarie Street, it didn't come handed down.

Gladys is no preselected seat-holder put in by the Club, she's an administrator, a staffer - a knitter. She reads her briefs, she focuses on the data, she knows the details. In times like these, we need good girls like Gladys.

If we ever need priveledged, self-righteous elitists, we know where to turn.

You're trying to hoodwink us as usual - it was her fault and Brad Hazzard's fault

She might be a first generation, not second ... I have doubts she's peasant stock too, she may have descended from Armenian aristocracy

AZ  20 days ago and I have survived.
I can now claim that I'm brave after 6 AZ deaths.
