what do you think they should do????   shoot people who refuse to obey a few rules.they are the ones spreading this virus not the officials..

You're not getting it cods, the officials let the current virus in. NSW was free of it, but checking and quarantine of flight crews and passengers was inadequate, and who organizes the checking and quarantining?

We can't stop a Chinese bio weapon.

So ... Bobby ... If Dan the man succeeds in getting the Victorian Delta outbreak under control and Gladys fails to get the NSW Delta outbreak under control ... will you finally admit that Dan is the ManWink

captain.

if dan can erradicate the delta strain from victoria before christmas (and by erradicate i mean "no community spread for a month" ) i will leave the forum forever.

there is NO HOPE of erradicating it and hence , it will continue to spread.

Bobby understands this.

dan might try but he is only doing a King Canute

That's a bit extreme!  Shocked

My point is: same variant, different approach to lockdown speed and severity ... if one method works, then that should prove who the better Premier is eh?  Smiley

Dan calls for Ring of Steel:-

https://au.news.yahoo.com/vic-premier-calls-ring-of-steel-sydney-cluster-grows-0...

"Premier Daniel Andrews has called for NSW to establish a "ring of steel" around Sydney, as Covid cases continue to rise, despite the lockdown.

On Friday, NSW recorded 136 locally acquired cases, prompting NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian to regard the outbreak as a "national emergency". Restrictions have been tightened in Sydney's west and southwest and steps taken to get more vaccines into those areas.

"This is not just a challenge for NSW but a challenge for the nation," she told reporters in Sydney on Friday.

"In order for us to have our citizens live freely and openly, as well as other states to ensure that their citizens live openly and freely, we need to have a national refocus."

Victoria remains in lockdown and reported 14 new locally-acquired cases on Friday, all linked to known outbreaks, which can be traced back to NSW.

Mr Andrews supports Ms Berejiklian's escalation of the Sydney outbreak to a national emergency. He said it is a national responsibility to contain Sydney's outbreak.

"Sydney is on fire with this virus, and we need a ring of steel around Sydney," he said.

Last year, amid Victoria's second wave, a ring of steel was established to keep Covid out of regional parts of the state and was policed by roadblocks and mobile checks."

You want more.. you want More?  You're talking to me?  Well, I don't see anyone else here.... more if you want to read it.

Shouldn't prove any such thing - one method may work and that doesn't mean that someone choosing the lesser of two weevils is wrong when it works better.. we're all in the experimental phase...

I heard that he was opposed to swiping Victoria's doses but is open to a longer gap between shots ... happens to line up with the latest recommendation from an Oxford study that shows Pfizer is more effective with an 8 to 10 week gap between shots.

Sydney to DELAY giving second Pfizer jabs so MORE young people can get their first dose

amid growing Covid-19 outbreak - as Scott Morrison quotes Kyle Sandilands while ruling out increasing vaccines for NSW - here's everything you need to know

NSW recorded 136 new cases with 77 people infectious in the community
Premier Gladys Berejiklian called for huge changes to national vaccine rollout
Prime Minister Scott Morrison agreed to delay second doses of Pfizer vaccines
The plan would allow NSW to jab more people with their first doses earlier

Mr Morrison said no more Pfizer doses were available after NSW called for extra
He also hit back at Victorian premier Daniel Andrews' calls for a 'ring of steel'

Sydneysiders will have their second dose of Pfizer delayed to six weeks in a bid to partially vaccinate more people during the city's growing Covid-19 outbreak, Scott Morrison has announced.

The Prime Minister said he was in discussions with medical experts and would confirm the updated schedule for Sydney's vaccine hubs over 'the next 24 hours'

ScoMo keeps changing his story:

Story (1) There will be no disruption to the current rollout plan

Story (2) he is open to redirecting Pfizer vaccine to Sydney.

What the hell is going on?
ScoMo keeps changing his story every hour.
He doesn't know what he's doing.
He should resign.

SA is not giving up theirs either. Sydney is on its own, especially out West.
