Bobby, try clearing cookies/cache.

Yep, that's probably it. Thanks, Gordon.

Both my browsers are set to automatically clear cookies and cache, etc. when I close them (bit of a nuisance to keep signing in here and a few other sites every time I turn the computer on but I'm used to it).

Stuff them and their paywall.

Filthy Indians brought the Indian Delta variant to Sydney.
Why did we allow them to come here?
Who is responsible?

A lot of people in NSW are probably wondering why this sort of thing is still happening.

Natalie Portman and Sacha Baron Cohen spotted taking boat ride in Sydney while under lockdown

https://www.perthnow.com.au/entertainment/movies/natalie-portman-and-sacha-baron...

Quote:
While much of Sydney is hunkered down under stay-at-home orders, Hollywood A-Listers Natalie Portman and Sacha Baron Cohen were making the most of the sunshine.

The power pair was spotted in Pittwater, north of Sydney, taking a boat ride with Portman’s husband, Benjamin Millepied.

They were spied on a rented boat with Portman and Millepied’s children, plus Cohen’s children with his Perth-raised wife, Isla Fisher.

According to Sydney’s stay-stay-at home rules, which apply to people residing in the Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour local government areas, people are only allowed to leave home if they have a ‘reasonable excuse’.

Quote:
Portman had been in Australia to put the finishing touches on Thor: Love and Thunder, a sequel to 2017’s highly successful Thor: Ragnarok.

Ah, of course... that would have to be classified as an "essential service".  Roll Eyes

No wonder so many 'normal' people won't follow lockdown rules, etc.

Oh, and...

Quote:
New South Wales Police said they were aware of the boat ride and were “conducting inquiries into the matter”.

Yeah, I'll bet they are. And, I'll also bet this is probably the last we'll hear of it. Roll Eyes

You guys would be bitching and moaning about a lack of Australian films being produced if international actors were not allowed to film here for their Hollywood movies. Australia is building its movie business and we should probably be thankful that international actors can film here during a pandemic. It would lead Australia into prosperous territory with filmmaking in the future.

The independence of India, and then the removal of the white Australia policy lead to Indians coming here. The fact is that we have plenty of ethnically Indian Australians that like to visit family each year. It is not as if we can keep the Australian citizens out of Australia, even though the government were trying.

urging people to get their vaxes.

No.

She talked of 1000s of people being hospitalised, and death.

She didn't put a figure on deaths - just said there would be death.

1000s died of the flu in 2018.
not a word.
no masks
no social distancing

people have absorbed this false narrative into their dna.

every death is now 'catastrophic"
every case must be discussed in a daily news conference

the collective subconscious of the unthinking masses has gone round the bend

get some perspective.

try to grow a spine.

Not sure what you're on about, as usual.

I'm just explaining to Booby that he misheard what she said.

The other thing is that 300,000 Australians caught influenza in Australia in 2017. 900+ died. 30,000 people have confirmed cases of coronavirus in Australia, the year 2020/2021. 910 people have died.

You are usually bedridden for a few days with influenza. But, coronavirus has been made a political tool to be used against China. That is why politicians have been embellishing the importance of mask wearing and social distancing, etc.

The numbers are growing exponentially as she said so it's anybody's guess thanks to the migrants in Sydney's west.

What you need to know

Here’s a recap of the day so far if you’re just tuning in:

NSW recorded 44 new local cases of COVID-19,
including 27 people who were infectious in the community,

as Premier Gladys Berejiklian foreshadowed stay-at-home orders could be extended for a second time beyond next Friday.

Restrictions for greater Sydney residents have been tightened, including limiting outdoor exercise to two people within 10 kilometres of the home.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has promised Pfizer vaccine shipments will be brought forward within weeks, although the company said the overall number of doses it will provide this year has not increased.
NSW Police deny they are discriminating by deploying more officers to patrol south-western Sydney as the virus spreads there. Some people worry the show of force will put the community offside.

yes gordy  indeed.

america

CDC estimates that influenza was associated with 45 million illnesses, 21 million medical visits, 810,000 hospitalizations, and 61,000 deaths during the 2017–2018 influenza season.

and for oz....

While 2019 saw the highest number of influenza cases across the country, 2017 still holds the record for the highest number of flu-related deaths, with over 1,100 cases.

Last year there were over 900 influenza linked deaths in Australia

but the catastrophic death rate this year from covid stands at
2
