Cunning. 70% of UK residents have had at least one vaccination, but in the over 50s, the figure is 90%.
Covid is a fatality risk to these people. If we can fully vaccinate the over-50s, at-risk health groups, people with disabilities and Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islanders, we're almost there.
The 3% fatality figure is misleading applied to total populations because covid rarely kills the young. The risk is closer to 50% to people over 70, and lowers incrementally.
Covid, as you put it, kills the elderly, the sick, the disabled. You know, those you call chodes.
There is still a risk that it kills others too. This is the 0.8 figure obtained from the UK, where most people are vaccinated.
There, the Delta strain has killed younger, unvaccinated people, along with elderly people the vaccinations didnt help. There is, after all, a 10% chance they won't work, but this is largely in the elderly, frail group you call chodes.
For them, the risk is 10% after vaccination. For the vaccinated Superior Man, the risk is far lower.
You might have seen the death rate of Delta in unvaccinated populations in India and Indonesia. Both of those countries have higher vaccination rates than Australia.
