The only ignorance is yours. Your wikipedia figures are out of date. The birthrate of children born per woman for the Chinese has hovered around 1.6 since the 1990s. And they had introduced the one-child policy in China in the late 1970s. You would think that two generations of having just over one child on average per woman would mean that China's population has been going backwards for the last two decades. But, not you, it seems.

And yet... and yet... countless Chinese women of worth and beauty are not having children...... women's equality doesn't work there, eh?

Basically nothing serious. It was a misunderstanding. The man was booing because he thought it was the American anthem. Therefore, the authorities must intervene in order to avoid a diplomatic scandal.

Our birth rates of children per woman have been between 1.7 and 1.9 for the last 2 decades. Chinese births per woman have not been above 1.7 for quite some time. My guess would be that China's population is around 1 billion, with India being the largest country in the world.

China would have less than that. Even still, they would need to have millions of migrants move to China every year to prevent the casual slide in population. And China is less likely to have grandparents become great-grandparents. The generation gap is fairly large these days compared to the 1980s.

Xi Jinping has no love of China or the Chinese people, so this crackdown on disparaging the national anthem is a useful opportunity for Xi.

No one in China is allowed to be too patriotic (particularly not to communism) nor free thinking. And definitely not to revive Mao-worship.

His reason-for-being is the propagation of his cult of personality and the eclipsing of Mao... The man who destroyed the Xi family. When the time is right he'd be happy to have Mao's embalmed corpse sliced like bacon and fed to pigs.

Xi intends to be worse than Mao.
