The US Sun reports that the right-wing talk show host Dick Farrel, 65, texted friends in his last few days urging them to get the jab, having changed his mind.
Quote:Previously Farrel had frequently hit out against the covid vaccine on his personal Facebook page.
In a July 3 post he wrote: “Why take a vax promoted by people who lied 2u all along about masks, where the virus came from and the death toll?”, although he didn’t provide any additional context or clarification.
“Vaccine Bogus Bull Shid!, Two peeps I know, got vaxed, now have Corona, hospitalised critical,” he wrote on July 1. “Thank you Moderna, FOR NOTHING!”
Sadly, I don't believe he will be the last one to finally realize how foolish he's been until it is too late.
What's worse, maybe not for them and their families, is that they primed their listeners/supporters/redpilled that should they have a list minute change of heart on their literal deathbed, they're just being shills and are now part of the conspiracy, further cementing the notion that it's all fake in their tiny peabrains.
The fact that this is killing so many uneducated conservatives will hopefully be a positive we can look back on and help countries shed the left vs right bullshit and work together more.
If you remember at the beginning of the pandemic we were told 3-5 years until a vaccine. But with enough resources and cooperation, we have one in less than a year.
We as a people are far stronger if we work together rather than constantly be at each other.
But when one side has decided that they can simply make up their own reality from election results to what is true or not in general, or when it comes to science, it's practically impossible to overcome that.
Enter a virus that is killing them in greater numbers than any other group, there might just be hope yet.
Morbid yes, makes me feel deeply uncomfortable to talk about and admit, but honestly, these people are fighting everything that is being done to protect them putting everyone else at risk.
Good riddance.
We can show compassion for those who are doing the right thing and those these idiots are negatively impacting, from those they infect to those they leave behind, but I'm sick of constantly trying to pull the gun out of their mouths.
Let them pull the trigger.
