As a boy scout, I carried a cheap pocket knife as part of our gear.
When I became a Rover and got a job, I bought a beautiful Victornox Tinker.
Over the years, I have always carried a small pocket knife. At one stage, for protection, but those days are long gone because the draconian grubberment has mandated that even tiny Victornox Classics are deemed a weapon. These are actually smaller than keys, but the Arsetralian grubberment are so terrified of people carrying anything is frightening to them.
When working, I still carry either my Victornox Farmer x or one of my Leatherman tools. While working with the rescue organisation I work, I carry a Leatherman wingman. It is invaluable in some situations and the razor sharp knife is easily accessed if a rope needs to be cut in an emergency.
At home I have many beautiful knives No longer able to be carried, they now simply make up my collection. My favourites are my Damascus knives and throwing knives, the latter I practice with regularly.
Every knife is sharpened with a Ruixin knife sharpener with which I can set the exact angle and sharpen the knives to perfection every time.
I have vintage and antique knives, one over 150 years old. And several working knives. Alas, my first knife was thrown away many years ago. But every other knife I have ever owned I still have. And I still collect, as part of a knife collectors club.
