they are obviously not concentrating resources on the most important cases.

one wonders how many unhealthy obese diabetics and smokers were clogging up the system and occupying staff to the point this child was ignored

I've been to the local children's ER 4 bloody times in the last year and the care is gold standard, so was the care at the outpatients clinics for follow-ups.

I also accompanied an old relly for an appointment to an outpatients clinic and we actually went past the diabetes clinic, and the smell of necrotising.flesh hits you before you see all the obese people in lard carts with black feet.

Why is Perth's brand new children's hospital putting this as the greeting message on their webpage?

"We are currently experiencing a very high number of Emergency Department patient presentations and long waiting times."

"Here's some information on when you should bring your child to the PCH Emergency Department or take them elsewhere."

We don't have Covid.

It's not school holidays.

It's winter (and quite wet) - so kids aren't out on their bikes etc. as much.

So why the hell are kids being turned away?

I heard the end of a radio interview on ABC today, didn't catch who it was but they were talking about the WA health system again, and how it's so badly resourced it can barely do a decent vaccine rollout. WA will be locked down forever if they don't get their schyte together.

It's very efficient, and nobody seems to have any trouble getting booked in.

Life in Perth is normal - we have no restrictions.

No lock-downs, no masks, nothing.

I know it's hard for people from the east to understand, but we're just not affected here.

However, that's all gonna change a week or two after the grand final.

Delta is coming, and it's coming real soon.

And when it hits, our hospitals won't be able to cope.

They can't cope now.

I just went to Perth Children's Hospital website and they've still got this greeting up:

I've had two shots of Polish Pfizer.

I check in with the QR code everywhere I go.

I wash my hand 30 times a day.

I catch Ubers to work in order to avoid crowded buses.

But yes, most other Perth residents are extremely complacent, and that will be our downfall.

Have you had the jab, Frank? I'm curious.

How will it cope with an outbreak? NSW is doing 100k a day, and that's just at the Govt hubs, then there's all the McMedical centers that are packed as well.
