No problem with the vaccine roll-out.
It's very efficient, and nobody seems to have any trouble getting booked in.
The trouble is complaceny.
Life in Perth is normal - we have no restrictions.
No lock-downs, no masks, nothing.
I know it's hard for people from the east to understand, but we're just not affected here.
However, that's all gonna change a week or two after the grand final.
Delta is coming, and it's coming real soon.
And when it hits, our hospitals won't be able to cope.
They can't cope
now.
I just went to Perth Children's Hospital website and they've still got this greeting up:
"We are currently experiencing a very high number of Emergency Department patient presentations and long waiting times.
"Here's some information on when you should bring your child to the PCH Emergency Department or take them elsewhere."Why? WTF is going on?
