Bingo!

Rhino! Yet another lovesick lapdog here too.

Watch him hover around me.

It's all part of the enigma that is Lisa Jones.

It's hilarious watching so many men hover around me like this. They're either trolling me so they can be noticed by me, trying to talk to me online, trying to get my phone number to talk to me offline, spending all night talking about me, incessantly PMing me, wanting photos of me, wanting to meet up with me, wanting to have sex with me...

I had no idea happily married women like me were in such demand these days.

You seemed a little desperate in those PMs you sent to me. What does BDSM mean?

I can't remember now. Take screenshots and post these imaginary PMs up.

After that I'll post the ones you actually sent me.

Dear God can't you just post without all those silly frills?

WTF are you on about now?

Of course I'm a female!

Everyone knows that a few years back when the Tool Shed first appeared on OzPol...for us girls to see wtf was going on in there we had to change our accounts to reflect a male status.

So that's what we girls did. We changed our status from female to male so we can read the tripe in there. Why? To make fun of you guys! It's what we girls do all the time. Duh!

BHP have mandated Covid vaccination as a condition of employment across all their workplaces.

You don't think they would have checked out the legality of doing that?

So people like Lisa Jones is talking through her southern gate ...

she can choose not have the jabs but she will still be restricted where she can go & what she can do without it ...

especially if businesses say "no jab - no entry".

And the hypocrisy of anyone living in a large metro area or city that fluoridates the public water supply that they drink is huge.

Don't want supposed poisons injected into their bodies but drink poison themselves.

Playing with fire: BHP thumbs nose at unions with jab mandate on all workers
BUSINESS

BHP is heading for a potential clash with the mining union after it today announced mandatory COVID vaccination as a condition of entry to its Australian sites and offices.

John McCarthy - author.

BHP will ban all unvaccinated staff and contractors from its work sites next year.
The policy will come into effect no later than January 31 and apply to staff, contractors and visitors, but will be introduced sooner in workplaces that are at high risk such as Mt Arthur Coal in NSW.

The company said the decision was based on a thorough review of the effectiveness of its COVID-19 health and safety controls, the latest scientific evidence and expert health advice.

BHP Minerals Australia president Edgar Basto said the science was clear that widespread vaccination saved lives.

“In line with Government guidance, we recognise the path forward is through widespread vaccination in Australia and we are looking at a range of practical ways to support that while protecting communities and workforces,’’ Basto said.
“We have undertaken a thorough assessment and believe that this is the right path forward to protect the health of our people, their families and the communities where we operate – including remote Indigenous communities – while continuing to safely run our operations.
“We know this will raise questions for some, and we will work closely with our workforce as we go through the process of implementing these controls at our workplaces.”

Mining and Energy Union Queensland district president Stephen Smyth his organisation did not support mandatory vaccination.
“We have strongly advocated to government and industry that COVID-19 vaccinations should be voluntary for mineworkers, with the high rates we need to protect safety better achieved through education, access and incentives,’’ Smyth said.

“BHP must engage in genuine consultation with the workforce.

“Some of our immediate concerns include fair treatment of casuals and contractors on BHP sites – keeping in mind that a minority of workers on BHP’s Queensland mine sites are direct employees; support for workers with a genuine medical exemption and paid time for workers to get vaccinate or in case of experiencing vaccine-related side-effects.

“Our priority is protecting our members’ jobs, rights and working conditions as we work through the workforce and legal implications of BHP’s decision.’’

Yes... And many more industries will follow.

As for the irony of health obsession with vaccination... There are pesticides on food (including glycophosphate), gas emissions from vehicles (for those who live in cities), diesel fumes (which contain carcinogens), microplastics that have entered the food chain etc... etc... etc...

BHP emails regarding mandating COV19 Vaccination

Good morning team,
I wanted to send a personal email on this very important announcement that BHP will introduce a requirement for COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of entry to workplaces in Australia for all workers and visitors.
I know many will have strong views and it is an emotive topic.  Right now in regional Queensland, it is hard to imagine COVID-19 reaching us. But it is inevitable. We only have to look at what is happening in NSW and Victoria to see how quickly things can change and the big impact it can have.
We have seen from the recent positive case of the HeviLift pilot who flew Brisbane to Moranbah that is doesn’t take much for the highly infectious Delta strain to come here and not only disrupt our operations but pose a risk to the health of all of us and our regions.
We can’t afford to be complacent. We need to eliminate the risks – as we do every day in our work, spot the hazards before they find us. And, we believe vaccinations are our best protection to manage this risk to our people.

We also need to look outside the gate and our responsibility to our communities and regions in which we operate we take extremely seriously. If community transmission occurs in our regional locations, the capacity of the supporting townships to deal with an outbreak will be challenged given the limited medical services available to respond.  The data tells us that unvaccinated people are seventeen times more likely to be hospitalised due to COVID-19 than vaccinated people.

We’ve done our assessment and the best thing for our business and the community is to get vaccinated – we are doing it for the right reasons with the health and safety of our people and the communities as our number one priority.

On a personal note I have my own reasons for getting vaccinated.  I want to protect my family and in particular my grandmother who is at high risk and in a nursing home.  I want to do everything possible to ensure I keep her safe.  Many of you will have your own reasons for wanting to be vaccinated and I appreciate, some also have their reasons for not wanting such too.
But, above all, there is nothing more important in this than our safety and going home safe every day to our family and friends. I encourage you to seek out more information, ask questions, and support each other. There is a dedicated COVID-19 Vaccine Support Line on 02 *******or send an email the Minerals Australia inbox minaucovidvaccination@bhp.com. Of course, we also encourage all to call our 24-hour Employee Assistance Program (EAP) on 1800******.
Stay safe and well and get vaccinated if you can.
Regards Mel.

Subject: A message from Edgar Basto, COVID-19 Vaccination

Team

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our people, their families and the communities in which we operate has remained our number one priority.

You will recall on the on 31 August 2021, I announced a step up in our response to the COVID-19 pandemic through workplace vaccination pilots and the commencement of an assessment to determine whether to make vaccination a condition of entry to BHP workplaces in Australia.

Over the last five weeks we have been rigorously undertaking this assessment including ongoing engagement with our workforce. The assessment has included a review of the latest health science, expert advice, and feedback from many stakeholders, including our employees and contract partners. The feedback and views you have provided have been greatly appreciated and have been considered through the assessment process.

Today I want to provide you an update and share the outcome of the assessment. I have also recorded a short message.

Assessment findings

The emergence of the Delta strain has increased the COVID-19 risk profile across Australia. The Delta strain is at least twice as infectious, and in most countries where restrictions have been eased, there has been a corresponding significant increase in infections. We expect to see a similar trend of increasing infections across Australia as our governments relax restrictions.

Unlike other strains, Delta is causing more serious illness and deaths in younger people and when this is the case, it is almost invariably in the unvaccinated. Recent data indicates that unvaccinated people are 17 times more likely to be hospitalised due to COVID-19 than vaccinated people. Many public health experts now agree that herd immunity is unlikely, meaning that the high levels of vaccination in the population cannot be relied on to protect those that are unvaccinated.

In line with government guidance, we recognise that the path forward is through widespread vaccination in Australia. In the last month, we have seen some state governments announce they will start easing restrictions once the vaccinated population reaches at least 70 percent.

As restrictions ease, we anticipate a corresponding increase in the circulation of the virus in the community within the weeks that follow as has been experienced in other countries. This means unvaccinated people will be more likely to get COVID-19, making it more difficult for us to protect our families, our workplaces and our local communities into the future.

BHP has reviewed the status and effectiveness of COVID-19 controls in line with the latest scientific evidence and expert health advice. The science is clear that widespread vaccination saves lives.

As governments move to reopen the country, full vaccination against COVID-19 will materially improve our ability to prevent a fatality or serious illness arising from COVID-19 transmission in a BHP managed workplace.

The position

Based on the findings of our assessment, the Company will introduce a requirement for COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of entry to BHP workplaces in Australia for all workers and visitors.

We expect this requirement to come into effect fully from 31 January 2022. The requirement will come into effect on earlier dates where needed due to government public health orders or because of other risk factors such as the status of any local COVID-19 outbreaks and government re-opening plans.

The 31 January 2022 date is intended to provide a fair and reasonable timeframe (where the risk profile and government health orders allow) for continued engagement and consultation, and for people to consider their position leveraging available support.

Alternative effective dates for vaccination:

WA: The effective vaccination dates for WA align with State Government public health orders:

Exposed port / vessel / vessel contact workers will be required to have their first vaccination dose by 15 October 2021 and be fully vaccinated by 12 November 2021.

All other workers will be required to have their first vaccination dose by 1 December 2021, and to be fully vaccinated by 1 January 2022.

NSW: Considering the current COVID-19 outbreak in NSW and the State Government plan to ease restrictions, workers and visitors to BHP workplaces in NSW will be required to have their first vaccination dose by 10 November 2021 and be fully vaccinated by 31 January 2022.

Victoria: The Melbourne office remains closed. For limited authorised workers who have access during the closed period, the State Government requires these workers to have their first vaccination dose by 15 October 2021 and to be fully vaccinated by 26 November 2021. Further announcements will be made once a decision is made to re-open the Melbourne office.

If further adjustments to effective dates are required, separate announcements will be made through local COVID-19 EMT communications in addition to further workforce engagement. Supplementary vaccination requirements may be defined if recommended by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation.

The vaccination requirements will apply to all people seeking access to BHP managed workplaces in Australia, except for external emergency response personnel responding to an emergency, government officials, and members of traditional owner groups who are not employees or contractors. We will address on a case-by-case basis the small number of people with a medical condition that prevents the person being vaccinated (as defined by ATAGI).

This decision has not been made lightly and we appreciate that not everyone will agree, though we strongly believe this is the right path to protect the health and safety of our workforce, their families, and the communities where we operate, including remote Indigenous communities near our operations. We will continue to engage with our workforce and will consult with unions and other external stakeholders about the implementation of this decision.

Support available

We recognise that some of you will have concerns about this decision and COVID-19 vaccinations. Last week we announced a new COVID-19 Vaccine Support Line for BHP employees and contractors across Australia, available seven days a week where you can speak with health experts.

The phone number for the support line is 02*******- I encourage you to use this service. In addition, please continue submitting any further feedback or queries to the mailbox , and engaging with your line-leader.

BHP’s 24-hour Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is also available for support to those that may be experiencing anxiety or other concern because of this decision – 1800****** (QLD & NSW) or 1800 ****** (WA, SA, VIC).

Thank you for contributing to this process and we will continue to engage with you over the coming weeks and months as we work through the details on implementing this control across our workplaces.

Thank you and stay safe,

Edgar Basto,
President Minerals Australia
