I get my information from getting warnings by police that I had been flagged. And I also get information listening to police radio broadcasts online that they do let officers know that someone has some history of mental illness/violence/criminal record, etc. I may not know a great deal about police procedural. But I know enough that I am not wrong about this.

I doubt that you are an ex copper. And if you were with the police, even for a short time, you would know that the public can listen in to police broadcasts. And surely you would know dispatch can have on file the details of people police are investigating. Inclusive are mental illness, outstanding warrants, a propensity to commit violence, etc.

Are you insisting that still can happen this day?

Regional area's are still in analog, ive got our local police and fire in my UHF in the truck and ute on receive only for bushfires etc.

Unsub is in Rocky and they will be digital. He is talking about stuff of years ago.
